Hold the menu and the input/devic buttons both in together on the front of the set for 6 seconds, then and see if it blinks a two digit error code. It should blink a series of blinks pause briefly then blink another series of blinks for the second digit. Let me know the number of blinks.

    32 code is the error indicating that the lamp door cover is open. Double check that the lamp door is secure try opening it again and resetting it. If the code 32 still exists its most likely the lamp door switch that is malfunctioning.

    Yes, there is a switch that the door contacts when its fully closed so the lamp will not light if the switch isnt depressed

I just replaced the bulb last week, yet this time the TV will still not turn on and all three lights are still blinking.

It is possible that the replacement lamp is bad but more likely the TV has a protection mode that triggers wen the lamp goes out. Check the manual for ways to reset the lamp usage back to zero or a function that needs to be manually reset when the lamp is changed.

TV turned off by itself one day. I pressed reset, timer light blinked green for a minute, then I pressed power and it sounded like it wanted to boot up, but nothing happened and the status light turn

Two thoughts:

First is this is a DLP set and the lamp may have failed

Second is it should have the self check which reads error codes---most of these sets that is the same:

" After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
(then release both)

The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected
This is for a earlier Mitsubishi DLP but should be the same as your set as Mitsubishi rarely changes things like this.
If you get the lamp abnormal it is likely your problem.

I have a RCA HD50LPW42, the tv stopped showing the picture awhile back but the sound continued when the tv was turned on. Now the sound has gone out too. When I turn the tv on the green power light blinks...

Hi,
You may have two problems with your TV. This TV has a history of a color wheel issue, was making grinding noise? Have you ever changed the lamp?
It may be a bad color wheel and the lamp, you may want to do a visual inspection.
It is easy to replace the lamp but more likely the color wheel is the problem.
The part# for the color wheel is 212184, the part# for the lamp is 260962

Best of luck

Just changed the lamp and the "status" light is

you must install the lamp door after lamp replacement to get the "yellow" blinking to stop. if the status is blinking red then you may be having a fan failure internal to the tv. also make sure that the side filter door is installed and secure

Samsung hln617w dlp tv won't turn on. Red temp

Had similar problem. Thought it was the lamp. Examined old lamp but it appeared to be good. Ordered a new one anyway. Changed the lamp but the TV screen would not come on. It would make the usual noise as it was going to come on normally but it would cycle 3 times & then turn off. The LED lights in the front panel would indicate a defective lamp. Then read about the ballast. Changed the ballast & still same problem. Tried starting the TV without the lamp installed & noticed that the color wheel did not spin. Removed old color wheel & discovered it was broken. This appears to be the cause of all of my problems. I wish I new earlier of the test-turn on the TV without the lamp being installed & check to see if the color wheel is spinning. Would have save money on the lamp & ballast.

WD-62525, continous amber lamp light. No picture. Lamp is good.

Hello:

Make sure u replace the lamp cover as the safety switch need to be closed to make the set work. If new lamp did not repair your problem , then it may well be the Ballast Board, Sometimes call the Lamp Driver.

3 blinks red light is a lamp error, either the lamp switch is dirty or lamp is going, if it does it again reseat the lamp and see if it stops.
plan on replacing the lamp every 2 years or so anyway
