If the gun has never been opened, the problem could be a lack of oil or worse, too much of the wrong kind of oil. No oil causes parts to stick. Too much of the wrong kind of oil caused the orings to swell and jamb parts. Carefully open gun to preserve head gasket and check for piston travel all the way down to the bumper. Piston should not be too tight, nor drop to the bottom under its own weight. The driver has a groove on one side that should align with the grove in the nose and it should not be bent. Next check the head valve by pushing the valve into the head with your thumbs. the valve should travel about 3/8 inch. If stuck apply air pressure to hole where gasket sits on head. The valve will pop out. Clean and lube parts replace orings or upper bumper if cracked. Assemble and test. Parts are not expensive at www.toolpartsdirect.com, enjoy

Stapler losing air around trigger is this a o ring problem?

The problem is most likely the trigger valve. P/N FA205BA1 any Bostitch dealer should be able to get it for you. Its a complete cartridge that slids into the gun frame, unfortunatly you can't just change the o-rings.

look on the front of the tool.there is a dial right where the plastic meets the yellow housing.also look closely and you should see a diagram on the plastic telling you whitch way to go.

The gun will fire staples, nails do not set.

Shoots staples fine but brads jam or bend. Check that the part called "guide bar", #35 on the parts diagram isn't getting stuck in the channel of part #30.

The guide bar retracts into the channel when driving a staple and springs out of the channel to guide brads.

The guide bar can get stuck in the channel if it's bent or gummed up. (Bent is likely the result of driving a brad into an obstruction.)

My Bostitch SB 2in1 nailer will only on occation nail all the way into the wood. For the most part the nail will bend over before it goes in, which damages the wood. I spend more time tying to pull out...

I ran into this problem many times. Don`t use the Bostitch brand nails. Use the generic or other name brand. You`ll notice the generic one`s heads are just a little bigger and the driver blade won`t run down the side of the nail!
Thanks,
Jeff
