Can't email from computer after scanning the document. The email does not reach it's destation

1.Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore.
2.On the Welcome screen, click Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next.

3.On the Select a Restore Point page, select the date from the calendar that shows the point you'd like to restore to, as shown in Figure 2, and then click Next.
4.On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, verify that the correct restore point is chosen, and then close any open programs.
5.Click Next if you are ready to proceed or click Back to change the restore point.
6.The computer will shut down automatically and reboot. On reboot, you'll see the Restoration Complete page, and then click OK.

How do i scan and email documents


There should be a way to select "send by email" when you finish scanning a document on the computer. Or you can usually attach the document to your email from the program you use to send emails. You may have to save the document first.

I2400 scan to email doesn't work


You must have an email program like Outlook installed on your computer. When scan to email is selected it simply opens whatever defaul email client and attaches the scanned doc to a new email message.

1-Print the attached document !

2-Write your usual signature on the printed paper

3-Scan the paper by any scanner

We are having HP Officejet J4580 all in one in our office. but the problem is that even if i scan a document in gray scale & PDF then also the file size come out to very Huge; Which troubles us alot...


Hi there,

Scanning in gray scale alone will not bring down the scannned documents size alone. In your scan settings there should be a setting whereby you lower your DPI (dots per inch) or scan resolution. The standard DPI is usually about 300. Try lowering it to about 100 and check the scanned document size again. Lower your DPI until you reach the appropriate document size for emailing etc.

Place the document on a scanner, Scan the document first onto your computer save the scan output with a name you can remember. Open your email, click attachment browse to the document you just scanned and click attach.

Follow these steps to scan a document on an all-in-one printer:
  1. 1)Turn on your all-in-one printer and computer. Check the connections between the two machines.2)Lift the printer's document lid. Examine the scanning surface and the underside of the lid for dust and fingerprints.3)Put the document you wish to scan face-down on the glass. Use the alignment markers to help you square up the object. These are usually found on the left-hand edge of the scanning area.4)Close the printer's document lid slowly so the document does not shift position.5)Select a scan resolution. The higher the dpi (dots per inch) count, the sharper and more detailed the image.6)Push the scan button. You may have to do this on the printer itself or on your computer.7)Check the preview of your scan on your computer. Depending on your all-in-one printer and software, you may have to prompt your computer to display the preview for you.8)Edit the image as it appears on your computer if you want to make changes. Your scanning software might let you enlarge, resize or otherwise manipulate the final product.9)Accept the scan and save. How to scan documents and send using email


Hello, my name is Chris. Scan them to your computer. After they have been scanned, locate the scanned document. Go into your email, compose new message, and than look for an ( add attachment button befor you sent the email.) Locate the document you wish to send in email in the box that appears, and attach. than send.

welcome to the computer world. have fun with it and dont worry about breaking anything cause you cant really. if you scan the document the image will go to your computer so u can attach it and send it in an email.

If you have installed the software of the printer already then you can use the hp solution center to scan a document or a picture. And make sure that you have save the picture or document. After saving it to your computer you can open your email and put the document or picture as an attachments
