Move anything magnetic or any sound producing electronics away from you television. This includes stereo speakers or alarm clocks. Give your TV 30min. to 1hr. to cooldown completely and see if that fixes your problem. ------------------------------------------------------------- It sounds like the TV has foreign objects on the tubes, lenses or inner-screen, such as dust or bugs.l Remove screen from the front and observe.

If it were a TVinternal circuit problem then the  spots would be near the center of the picture.

Panasonic PT-61LCX65 tv has color spots

if you mean color spots size of a dime or so.
  • easiest: it is dust in some step of the projection light path.
  • hardest: the light engine could be damage
if you mean little ones as little dots (a neddle punshing) red and blue but always there:
  • condition call it: pixels always on: light engine is the reason.
as you see the light engine is the main part here, IT is expensive repair. so if you can survive with those little dots do it.
IF it is dust, is good idea asking for and estimate to see if can works.

Sony rear projection tv 42sx300

Hi, I used to work in Best Buy and one of the key things about rear projection TVs and the reason they push those service plans on you is that the tubes/colors need to be calibrated each year. You can do this yourself by checking out the following website:

http://lgknowledgebase.com/kb/index.php?View=entry&EntryID=3229

If you are not able to adjust the convergence using the remote you will need to replace the convergence chips.

Typical Symptoms

1) Convergence menu does not work for one or more colors.
Such as: Red moves up,down, but left or right fails.

2) Screen is bowed looking.

If you have one or more of the problems above you need to replace the convergence chips. You can get a kit and instructions from www.TvRepairKits.com

Hope this helps :)

Light green and pink spots on my hd tv!!!

Hi--Bought my panasonic pt-52lcx65 on sale for $2200 in 8/05. Replaced the lamp for about $300 in 1/08, just prior to Superbowl. Admittedly, this was to be expected after family members watched lots of tv over 30 months. However, two months later the blue spot emerged in 3/08, and red spot emerged 5/08. Set looks decorated by a Andy Warhol or Van Gogh wannabe. I'm looking for a fix it solution. Dr. Bob Heiliger, Lebanon, OH.
