I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 stuck in windows boot manager file \windows\system32\config\system status: 0xc000014c info: windows failed to load because the system registry file is missing or corrupt ...

Here's part of an article on how to replace that registry file:

Look in the C:\windows\system32\config\regback\ folder.
There should be copies of the registry files stored inside that folder.
They are backed up periodically and stored in that folder.

If you create a MiniWin, BartPE, or a Linux Live CD, you can start the computer from CD and move the file system to the required folder, C:\windows\system32\config\.

My laptop says windows/system32/config/system is missing and corrupt and it do not have a cd drive for a back up disk. plus i forgot my password

OK, lets go back to front.
Download the Hirens boot disc iso and burn to a cd. This has a utility to remove the password.
The missing system file is one of the registry hives. Connect the drive to another pc as a slave drive. This will allow you to look at the content and make the necessary changes.
Navigate to e:windows\system32\config (e: is the drive out of your pc that doesn't work) folder and rename the system file to something like system.old. Then navigate to e:windows\repair and copy the system file and paste it into e:windows\system32\config.
The file name you're looking for is simply called system, not system.bak or system.log, just system.
Put the drive back into the pc it came from and turn on. It shoul work but you may find that some programs may be missing or might not work as the system registry hive we've just copied may be quite old.

How to repair missing wininet.dll?

If you see an error related to the wininet.dll file being deleted or missing, copy this file from the c:\windows\system32 directory of a working Win XP Pro
or Win Vista computer onto a flashdrive, then use the following procedure to copy it onto the failing system.

  1. At the boot screen (the first thing to appear at power-up), hit the F8 function key.
  2. Select 'Safe Mode with Command Prompt' and continue.
  3. In the command prompt window, type the letter of your flash drive, either d: or e: until the drive appears as e:> in the prompt window.
  4. Type 'dir' to see the wininet.dll file on that flashdrive.
  5. Once you see that file, type 'copy wininet.dll c:\windows\system32'.
  6. Unplug the flashdrive and reboot the failing PC.
Once you succeed in reviving the failed computer, go to c:\windows\system32 and right click on the wininet.dll file then copy and paste it to a save name (recommended name: wininet-copy.dll). This allows direct copy of that file back into wininet.dll if the problem reoccurs.

If you suspect an anitvirus engine or some other application deleted this file - and if it occurs again, make note of what was being performed, immediately before the failure mode. This will lead you to the offending program needing attention.

Good luck, hope this helps.

Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe filie is missing or corrupt.

need to reinstall windows cause the system files for the operating system is corrupt.

On your compaq, keep pressing F10 as you turn on the computer and that should take you into the factory restore.

If you can't get into that then you'll need an operating system cd and then download the drivers off of the compaq website: partsurfer.hp.com
