Go to PMC website and download teh Realtek 97 audio driver
http://support.mpccorp.com/apps/filelist.asp?ID=9061
Since this is a barebone unit and the only one listed on the website. and that make me believe that the audio is buildin on the motherboard.
If the driver did not fix the porblem, then you need to get in contact with MPC and see what they can do for you.
I have not came across wiht this, so I can't really tell you what is wrong with the audio.

good luck

Sound does not transfer from laptop to earphones when they are plugged in. Tested earphone and test was good. How do I get the sound to come out of the earphones instead of laptop?

I would guess there is a fault with with the earphone jack socket, the soldering to the printed circuit board or perhaps some of the electronic components that might or might not provide attenuation and/or tone correction for the earphones.

Probably be a cheaper cure to use bluetooth.

I use a usb FM transmitter so my sound files can be played on any nearby FM radio.

When I plug my earphones into the headphone jack, the sound still comes through the laptop speakers, not the earphones

Forgive if this is too simplistic, but 2 suggestions before digging into the laptop: Confirm that you are plugging into the headphone jack and not the mic jack. Second, try a different set of earphones - sometimes buds with a mic capability like for a cell phone don't respond the same as pure headset.

No sound from ear phones of Fujitsu S-series laptop

First ensure that the headphones are working, by testing them on a divverent devices.

Ensure that computer has sound from speakers, if computer has not sound at all , then you need to reinstall audio drivers.

Then restart the computer with earphone plugged in, this solves a bios control related problem.

If still no luck, than you may have a broken solder joint on the Jack socket, in that case the repair must be done by a technician.

Check Audio driver is installed.
Look for Control Panel Audio application that allows you to switch over to use mic/earphone sockets.

Audioplug

Well opening your laptop would not be an easy job. You might damage it because to get to where you can solder it you have open it up.

I suggest that you can buy this usb adapter and you will have earphone and mic.

This is just a suggestion.
