It will not type the letter that comes after 'a'! and the capital lock will not torn off
I bought this MS Comfort Curve Keyboard in mid 2010, this new technology is wonderful and superb, the keyboard is sheer pleasure to use, that is when it is working! The keys feel really soft and silent, so, it wont wake the baby up. But after only 3 days of usage, that is about 15 hours of typing documents, few keys at random stopped working, this was my 1st ever horror story. This funky MS Comfort Curve Keyboard turned out to be real nasty piece of SM. So, when I unscrewed the keyboard to take it apart, it was good to see that it had no mechanical parts, just two A4 size plastic sheets inside the KB, that have electric circuit printed on them, and on top of that lies a plastic mat with lots of nipples, that you can squeeze with your keys. The fault that few keys had stopped working was due to too much static electric charge build up on these cheep plastic sheets just after few hour usage, and that cuts the keys off. I wish MS(SM) had used better or excellent quality plastic sheets, even one made out of good plastic shopping bag would have done a great job.
So, looks like to keep the cost down for this really cool MS Comfort Curve Keyboard, MS got them made in china in some cheep crazy train factory. Probably like Apple’s Book it was a great idea, was this risk worth taking by Microsoft? At this moment in year 2010. Two off the worlds leading computer software and gadget producer are desperately seeking for two opposite solutions; Apple is looking for a signal transmission Aerial as powerful as microwave oven to spit-roast their customers with pleasure, and Microsoft is looking for quick Lightning conductor to ground the bad vibe signal from ampple thunderous discharge?
This problematic MS Comfort Curve Keyboard can be temporarily repaired, it takes about 15 min max. Unscrew and take apart keyboard, and sensibly discharge the 2 A4 size plastic sheet that have electric circuit printed on them, and that’s it. The keyboard will work only for few hours or few days, so, now you will have to turn into a baby sitter for this pest keyboard, as you will have to nipple feed the monster keyboard all over again, you will have to strip down the keyboard again and again, while it strips you L Till one day some tech guy from Microsoft sneaks onto YouTube to tells us how to permanently fix this keyboard, with hairpins and paperclips.
Some review say that only a small % these SM Comfort Curve Keyboard are faulty. I wonder if the Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard were made by Toyota or by some toy or baby milk factory in China J
