SOURCE: XP Fails to a Blue scren and memory Dump

Your hard drive probably needs replaced but before you go and purchase anything I would check the cabling.

You will need to power off and unplug our computer. You will want to remove the panel from the computer so you can get access to the inside once inside you will want to make sure that the cable to the hard drive is firmly in place and the other end is firmly connected to *********** board.

If the cable is tight you can try to reboot your computer to see what happens. and rerun your disgnostics if it continues to fail you will need a new hard drive.

SOURCE: system boots to a blank screen

Do this unit have the features to restore using a restore disc? If yes then you have to restore it using this. It will be back to a factory setting just like when it is new. All save files and added program will be erased and deleted.

Or if it have an options for repair choose that.
Try hitting Pause when system start up so that you can read the boot options.

If not then try to boot and choose the option REPAIR from your operating system installer disc.

Blank/black screen at power on

This is hopefully a possible fix. I have encountered a similar problem with windows xp and vista. the fix I found that will eliviate this problem and a startup-reboot-startup-reboot... If you have your original windows (xp or vista) CD lounch it like you would do to do a system install. As the installation starts it will show ask you if you would like to do a recovery using the recovery console, just press ESC and go on. Press the F8 to accept the license. If Windows is not completly broke, it will find the original installation on your hard drie. It will ask if you want to repair. Press the R key and windows will reinstall your operating system, without destroying your software or data. After it is done the system will go to the windows startup screen. You will need your windows product key located on your machine or on the original software packaging.
I hope this will fix your problem.

Xp boots and hang up on blank screen

Insert the original Windows XP "System Restore" CD-ROM,
and tell your computer to "boot" from it.

Does it boot, and get to a screen that asks you "do you really want to ...", or does it stop at a "blank" screen?

If it "stops", you have a "hardware" problem.
If it "asks", then either:
* your disk-drive has failed, or is about to fail,
* your installed copy of Windows is messed-up, and it cannot complete the "boot" process.

Take your computer to a computer-store, for more trouble-shooting.

Hi PC;
try booting up in safe mode then shutdown from there, see if you still hang on the blank blue screen.

to go to safe mode, tap F8 when your pc is booting up.

get back to me for feedback. :)
