If there's a small round hole on the front than grab a pin wich is long enough (at least around 5cm shold do it) and fits in it, push it inside till the drive opens.
If there's no hole than you unfortunately need to dismentle the hole drive.

Dell cd drive door won't open

CD/DVD Drive Tray problems
There are two ways to open the CD/DVD drive door if the button just below the drive tray does not work.
Go to My Computer and right click on the drive and click on Eject.
If this does not work then you can manually open the CD/DVD drive tray by -
Straighten a paper clip and gently insert it into a tiny hole below the drive tray next to the Eject button. Push the paper clip gently until the drive tray pops out, then pull the tray until it is fully out, then you can remove the CD/DVD disc.
If you still having problem opening with the Eject button, then the CD/DVD drive is faulty and needs replacing.

How to eject cd from dell inspiron

Press the button the cd drive door or click Start/My Computer then Right Click on the CD Drive and select EJECT.

If it is stuck you will need to take a Paper Clip (Gem Clip) and straighten it out. Then look for the tiny hole on the CD Drive door and push the Paper Clip (Gem Clip) into the hole and Press the the button on the drive door. As you Press the button on the drive door, push the paper clip in and the door will pop open.

Don't worry about breaking something, that is why the tiny hole is there.

I have a burned CD in the CD drawer and I can't retreive it, I can't find the button to open the door. Somewhere there is a button" OPEN DOOR" but I can't locate it.

I placed a cd on my cd holder and the cd fell off inside the processor. How can I get the cd out?

Use paper clip and stick it through a small just outside the cd drive (should be next to the cd button where you press to eject the cd out). Stick paper clip through this small hole until the cd door open and gently take cd disc out. Good luck

CD "door" will not open.

Push a paper clip inside the hole in front off the drive to open it manually

Hi,

try to see if the cd/dvd drive would eject if you are outside of Windows. you can try it in the bios screen. to go there, restart your computer, then on the DELL logo, continuously tap on F2 key. once inside the bios screen, press the eject button of the cd/dvd drive.

The doors on my cd things won't open

There's a little pin hole somewhere on the front of the drive. Find something thin and push it in quite hard, this manually releases the drive mechanism and opens the drive.

Emachine hard drive door will not open (how to repair?)

Assuming this means the CD drive rather than the Hard Drive (which doesn't normally have a link to the outside world).......

Unless something from outside is very obviously fouling the door, the problem is probably internal to the drive. With the price of replacement drives these days (shockingly low), I wouldn't even bother opening the drive to investigate what's wrong - I'd just put a new (probably higher spec) one in.

They're all a standard size and fitting and fitting a replacement is a "no surprises" job.
