Question about Audiovox MP4128 MP3 Player

Open Question

My RCA M5002 isn't working! (won't record, delete or sync files)

I've tried "master resting" and formatting in both Windows Media player and by going to "My Computer", clicking on RCA M50 Series, then going to PPI NAND I right clicked it and clicked formatting...but it didn't format. I've contacted RCA, and they told me my device is broken. (But they didn't offer a reason to why it happened) I'm wondering if anyne can offer me a reason to why its not working, and/or how to reformat/wipe the memory so it works again.

Note: I've also tried deteing the songs from the MP3 player, but it still didn't delete.

Same Problem Here. No solution after hour of web search. You'd think RCA would have the firmware on their site. Nowhere to be found. Arrrhhh

All support for RCA Jet S2001 on this site:

When performing "Clear Mysel" in the Player Menu you will only
delete your playlist, songs added in "Add to Mysel" earlier.

For deleting files you'll have to make a connection with the computer using the transfer software from RCA, Windows Media Player 11 or the
delete method in Windows Explorer.

Sansa E260- Cannot delete songs/ won't respond to modified files.

In order to sync the files with media player the device must be in MTP mode MSC mode is used for drag/drop file updating. try setting MTP and then sync it or just open the drive file in my computer in either mode to update the file list.

Windows Media Player won;t sync music!

Turn off the automatic sync option - change it to manual sync, and then you should be good to go. Change to manual sync first, and then reformat.
