Registration number I bought music ace 2 a few years ago and installed it on my old pc. Just recently I tried to install it on my laptop because I never use the old pc anymore, but it wants a 'registration number'. I looked for the box but I can't find it and I think we might have thrown it away. Can I find my registration number on the disc somewhere or online?
It said it would send me an email with my new number but I haven't received one yet. I'll keep trying.
Thankyou again for trying to help.

Having a burned DVD sounds like you may have copied the folders from the old computer. You cannot easily re-install software that way. You need either the original installation DVD or a copy of the original DVD. Another suggestion is to borrow a copy of an installation disc and use your own registration number, that may work.
Register it again. Even trough you already did this, porting the software from its program files folder does not always works fine. Windows' register has these registration saved, and your new PC doesn't.
You should email the company. If you still have your working old computer then you can use LicenseCrawler or ProduKey to find your registration keys in your old PC
Some software is written that you can only install it once, twice, etc. The manufacturer of your software obviously has limited the number to one. Over the years software companies have tried to prevent people from pirating their software and selling and/or installing it on multiple computers. Contact the manufacturer and tell them that your old computer crashed, so you bought a new one and want to install it on the new computer and if they're worth anything they will give you a new license key for free. I hope this helps and good luck!
I have a nimcard card scanner.. bought years ago. Recently , my laptop died and so I had to install the nimcard software on a new notebook using the Cds that come with the scanner. However, when I tried to 'register' the software using the product keys and
URC.. it says wrong product key .. I tried both disks (they gave 2 licence) .. and both says wrong product key ! Now, all my database cannot be recovered! I had it backup, but without the nimcard software, I cannot retrieve it. Is there any other software that can retrieve or use the nimcard created database? Pls help... anyone ...
If you have lost the product key or registration number to your software, and you have previously registered the software, or have a proof of purchase for the software, contact the manufacturer and they will provide you with a new product key or registration number.
