You may want to try Master Parts, they may have the plaques. The problem with replacing the plaques is that they can be expenise to replace. Sometimes its the same price just to replace the total unit.

I have a GloWarm propane/lp gas space heater. Can I use bottled propane tanks?

no you can't, and aren't you worried about carbon monoxide poisoning? Where does the burnt air go?

GloWarm Heaters - ventfree infrared heaters
GloWarm Infrared heaters are residential gas space heaters that are ventfree,
so no venting is required

GloWarm Plaque Infrared heaters direct heat from radiant plaques that
"warm like the sun."

Infrared heaters heat objects in the room before the air,
making them ideal for un-insulated rooms in your home.

All propane heaters require a 100 lb. tank or larger!

After installing my kozy world heater and lit the pilot the heater came on. all three plaques. this happened while the knob was still in the pilot position. the heater wont shut off.

I actually have three of these and what I found was the gas valve was stuck in the open position you may need to replace it or possibly remove it and try to clean it of any residue but be very careful if you don't know exactly what your doing then you need to get a pro. Remember that your dealing with propane and it could ignite and cause serious damage to you and your home. Please be very careful and you might want to call the manufacturer and talk to them about it. Because it is a gas appliance they have a responsibility to you if anything should happen then they may be liable.

Pilot light does not stay lit when I attempt to light the plaques. Pro com 6000 btu.

Either you have a gas pressure problem or the ODS (Oxygen Depletion Sensor is clogged. I suspect it's the latter. If you feel comfortable attempting to clean and service it yourself, it can be done. But, it will require taking the front cover off the heater. If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, contact your Propane provider or a hearth and home store in your area. These units do require annual cleaning and service.

When I push my red button in it shut off the fuel and wont stay going

this is caused by a bad thermo coupling. just to make sure that it is in fact bad - hold down the button for about 20 seconds while the heater is going and if after that amount of time the unit still shuts down when you release the fuel button - then replace the thermo coupling.

SPC-40 wont stay lit

Problem is either the thermocouple or the thermoelectric valve. I have one of these as well with the same problem. On mine it is not the thermocouple. I have replaced the thermocoupler and still have the problem. A thermoelectric valve is $42.25 at http://www.masterheaters.com/propane/
Im looking for a cheaper part. Any suggestions?
