Question about Certance Electronics - Others
The above mentioned tape drive is rack mounted in a Certance case that supports 2 tape drives. We are looking for a way to manually eject the tape. Please provide as many possibilities as possible because we have tried a few that were suggested by Google searches.

I highly recommend that you contact Certance for assistance. Tape drives are expensive and you don't want to risk damaging it.
If you are feeling brave you could see if you can manually eject the tape.
Remove the tape drive from the chassis and look for a manual rewind screw on the bottom or back of the drive. This is provided on some drives to allow you to manually wind the tape back into the cartrige and eject it.
I hope this helps.

Bet if you check, it is not overwritting the tape (appending) on the first tape, but will overwrite the second. Check the media properties to see. If it is this, it has probably had an update when it started going south....
Same problem here, on with Symantec about it...
