Re: philips television problem
With the remote control - press and hold BOTH volume (-) and (+) at the same time for a few seconds, or until the display reads DEMO ON or DEMO OFF (what you want, here). This will shake it in and out of "Demo" mode. It might work for you.

good day , what button can you see infront of your TV screen?
Not familiar with this model but if you'll manage to locate a button marked as "TV/AV" or "AV" press this button until it the display switch to A/V mode (audio/video). Or if this is a really old model, from Tuner mode or channel model. set the channel station to 1 then press the " - channel " button and see if it will change from tuner mode to A/V mode
I dont know if you tv has this sertting but click menu usally 4 times and it will bring u to a page wich might say channel or something else and u can chane the channel by using the volume buttoms this worked for me and i can put it onto av1 av2 av3 and av4
delma11-If your AV was working good before,it is quite possible the AV jacks are cracked away from the pcboard ass'y. If your tv goes into AV mode, try wiggling cables to see if picture comes in.You could also try changing patch cable, let me know if this helps. cooltek Feb.16/08
