How do I connect my wireless internet to my wii console?

CLICK HERE TO GO DIRECTLY TO NINTENDO.COM WHERE I COPIED/PASTED THIS INFORMATION. THEY HAVE PICTURES TO GUIDE YOU ALSO!

Step by step instructions on how to connect the Wii to the Internet using a wireless connection.

What to do:

1. Power on your Wii console and press the A Button on the Wii Remote to reach the Wii main menu. Use the Wii Remote to select the "Wii" button.

2. Select "Wii Settings" to access the "Wii System Settings" menu.

3. Using the arrow on the right side of the screen, scroll to page two and select "Internet."

4. Select "Connection Settings."

5. Select "Connection 1: None."

* If you do not have an empty connection slot, you will need to clear a slot. (How To)

6. Click on "Wireless Connection," then click "Search for an Access Point."

* If using a wired Internet connection, click here for specific help.

7. Select the wireless network that is yours.

(If you're not sure which is yours, or you don't see any wireless networks, click here.)

Asked to enter a security key?
If you are prompted to "Enter the Password or Key," then the wireless network you are trying to connect to has wireless security turned on. You will need to type in your security key or password and select "OK."

Don't know your router's security key?
Let us help you find your router's security key. Select the brand of your router below and we'll provide you with the default information for that brand!

Linksys Netgear DLink
Belkin Apple 2Wire
All other brands

8. Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes."

* The Wii console will run a connection test with your wireless network. When the test is completed, you should see the following screen:

As long as you see "The connection test was successful," the "Wii Support Code" does not matter and can be ignored.

* If the connection test succeeds, then your Wii is now connected to the internet. Click here to find out what's next!

* If the connection test was not successful, you will receive an error code.

o Error Code 51330 or 52130: This means the security code you entered into the Wii is not the same one your router is set to. Look in your router's settings and try again. Please refer to step eight (8) above for more information.

o All other error codes: Try our error code troubleshooting where we have detailed information on many common error codes. (You can ignore any "Wii Support Code" you receive on a connection test.)

I go on cod WAW and press multiplayer then i press nitendo wifi connection when i press that it loads a bit then it says cant connect to the COD WAW servers please try again later i dont know wat to do...

Something is wrong with your wireless router. I think Wii's connection to a router is WEP-Shared,or WEP-Open. Try all of the authentications. Ok,just follow this.
1) Load up Wifi Connections and stuff.
2) Go to your computer and go to this website nintendowifi.com
3) http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/routers/index.jsp Check out which router you have.
4) If you have any of these, your lucky. Just follow this: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/getOnline/index.jsp
5) Also look under your router for the WEP key or whatever...
I hope I helped!
Sincerely, Frankwarrior.

Call of duty wii world at war wifi low connection

You can move the Wii closer to the router or if you are using Nintendo's USB wifi it would probably work faster with a wifi router.

Error code 51330 trying to conect to the internet get so far then get this

This error code usually indicates a problem relating to wireless security. Please try the following troubleshooting:
  1. Are you using WEP or WPA security on your router?
    1. Log into the router using the default IP (consult your router's manual for assistance)
    2. Locate the "wireless security" section of your router settings and find the WEP or WPA key.
    3. If you are using 64-bit encryption, the WEP Key must be a 10-character key consisting of numbers or letters A through F.
    4. If you are using 128-bit encryption, the WEP Key must be a 26-character key consisting of numbers or letters A through F.
    5. The WEP Key must be a Hexadecimal (0-9, A-F, no other special characters or letters).
    6. If your router has multiple slots for a WEP Key, make sure the active key is the one in the #1 slot.
    7. If you are using WPA, the Wii console is compatible with the following types:
      • WPA - PSK (TKIP)
      • WPA - PSK (AES)
      • WPA2 - PSK (AES)

Can't connect Wii. WEP key is correct.

either your internet provider does not support the wii or vice versa. another possible problem is that you have the WEP strength set wrong. IE: having 64 bit and treating it as 128 bit.
