Heatdish turns on and off too quickly

When my Heatdish reaches the temperature set by the thermostat, it turns off, but within a few seconds turns back on again. Then continously cycles quickly after that. Is this normal or should it have a larger temperature range between on/off cycles? Thanks...

The sensor in the top of the dish has gone bad and needs to be replaced, or bipassed. if you want to bypass the switch then take the back off and remove the two wires going to the round silver plug looking item at the top and wire them together.
problem solved.

I have a Frigidaire oven that's does not heat up to high temp.

If your Frigidaire oven is not heating up to the high temperature, there could be a few possible causes:
  1. The thermostat may be malfunctioning: The thermostat controls the temperature of the oven and if it's not working correctly, it could prevent the oven from reaching the high temperature.
  2. The heating element may be malfunctioning: If the heating element is not working properly, the oven may not be able to reach the high temperature.
  3. The control board may be malfunctioning: If the control board is not functioning properly, it may not be sending the correct signals to the heating element or thermostat, preventing the oven from reaching the high temperature.
  4. The oven may be in a cleaning or self-cleaning cycle: when the oven is in a cleaning cycle, the temperature is raised to a high level to clean the interior of the oven.
  5. The oven may be in a energy saver mode: some ovens have a energy saver mode that decrease the temperature by a certain degree to save energy.

It's thermostatically controlled when engine reaches a certain temperature it comes on until the factory settings for temperature reaches it's lowest temperature then it cuts off. It comes on fast to cool water as quickly as possible.

Kenmore ice maker is not making ice very quickly

What is the model number? Here's a few helpful tips that may help you decide what to do. The rate at which a refrigerator cools depends on the ambient temperature. The warmer the ambient temperature, the longer it takes for the machine to reach its set point temperature. The relation to the ice maker is the ice maker thermostat. The ice maker thermostat needs to reach a set temperature and close to begin a harvest cycle. They can lose their calibration over time and it may take longer for it to close.

2005 350z touring overheats while in stop and go . recently ran just to High range while idle on very cold day. Coolant change and power wash radiator did not cure problem

Hello,
Here's something that's a very common cause of overheating, and it's easy to check.

How to test the thermostat in most vehicles;
Make sure the heater is off, start the engine and let it run for 6 to 8 minutes, ( this will allow the
engine to reach, " normal operating temperature "), from the inside of the vehicle turn the heater
temperature on high and turn the fan speed on high.
1. Listen very closely for a click sound from the engine, ( most thermostats make a click when
they open )
2. Watch your temperature guage, it should begin to lower as the coolant starts to circulate.
3. Usually within a few minutes the radiator fan will kick.

What the thermostat does;
It seperates your coolant into two parts. The first part is in your engine, the second part is in your
radiator and the coolant reservior. When the coolant in the engine reaches the temperature rating
on the thermostat the thermostat opens to allow the two parts of coolant to change places. Now
the cooled coolant in the radiator and reservior flows into the engine while the heated coolant flows
from the engine into the radiator and reservior to be air cooled by the radiator fan.

I really hope this helps you.

Housesitting. RTH111B model. I cannot keep the

That is a NONprogramable T-stat. There is no program to overide, therefore there is no need for a "hold" option. To set the temp, place the switch on the side marked

COOL
OFF
HEAT

to the desired setting, and push the up down arrows on the front until the display shows 80.

The DISPLAY will revert back to the current room temperature within a few seconds, and will keep the unit on until it reaches the desired temp.

The set temperature remains at 80, it just shows the current room temp.

Magic Chef Oven lights and shuts off

This could be caused by a lack of air within the oven cavity, once the air is used up the flame will go out, it will then work again once it is relite, but will probably do the same again, this could be dangerous and requires on site proffesional attention. Regards Engineer
