Question about Sanyo DS24425 24" TV
My television is coming on automatically at different times of the night. I'm able to turn it off via the remote but it's a hassel when it comes on @ 330am and wakes us up! help!

Try this: put a couple of Postits or similar over the IR port on the front of the set to see if this makes any difference. If it does, then you have some source of infra-red somewhere in your home and the set is responding to that.
If it doesn't, then the circuitry beyond the IR sensor is having problems and it is not likely that you can repair this yourself although you can take a look.
Unplug the set for at least hours, preferably overnight, to allow the stored charges in the set have time to bleed off. If you don't you may get a nasty (but rarely fatal) shock since aside from the 25,000 volts used on the picture tube, there are parts that may have hundreds of volts with far more stored energy than the CRT.
After removing the back of the set, look toward the front from the inside and see if the IR receiver is mounted on a separate board which is quite common since the Asians are smart and often buy such common subassemblies from specialized companies and install them during the manufacture of the set.
If you can see such a board, check to see how difficult it is to access since you will need some kind of part number which (hopefully) will be on the board. You may find several so: if the number appears to be similar to the printed circuit traces, it may be only the number for the bare board. Look for one on a paper label or a number that is stamped; this is how the finished assemblies are normally marked.
I don't know how good (or bad) Sanyo is for replacement parts of this kind but I would give it a shot to see if you can buy the board and install it yourself. My experience with some of them has ranged from excellent to 'forget about it.'
