Question about Technics Audio Players & Recorders
Does anyone know what the problems are and if it can be fixed without going to a dealer?
The F61 error is an amplifier failure. This error can be caused by a blown channel or even a failure in the power supply which causes the unit to detect an amplifier failure because the power supply is not supplying the proper voltage to the amplifier. On more rare occasions this can be caused by broken solder connections in the amplifier and/or power supply. Without having the receiver in front of me to troubleshoot it is impossible to tell you exactly what the cause is.
It can be fixed, but it will require some decent electronic skills. If you do not have a multimeter, soldering equipment, and an understanding of electronic components it would be best to let a service center look at it for you. If you do have these tools and would like to try and fix it yourself, let me know and I may be able to guide you thru the troubleshooting process.
