Winterizing a LXIH Hobart dish washer

We are shutting our Lodge down for 3 months and need to winterize the dish washer. Will probably get down to 0 degrees. It is hard piped in and would cutting the pipe and draining be enough.
thanks, Joe

Joe - The main issue is that the builtin booster heater is full of water - it has to be drained - there may be a small drain plug (square-shaped head), if not, you may have to pull loose the heater element to drain the tank. I would pour antifreeze solution in there and also in the wash tank. Unhook the water inlet - you say the machine is hard-plumbed in but mfgr recommends using brauided water hose to connect to water supply. hopefully this helps - I service commercial machines and came across your question and maybe you can ansqwer one of mine - how do I cancel the "delime" indicator? I can't find operators manual. jimmy.

Hi i am a hobart certified tech the only way to cancel your delime is to cancel this function in the service mode. also you must crack open the fill valve on parker valve and let the water leak out of the bonnet or the valve will split when it freezes

Wash Temp will not get above 140

It depends on the design & the programming. By chance if the thermostat is faulty this can happen. However refer user manual and consult the service provider or the manufacturer!

When we push the Off button the machine won't drain and shut down? this is a Hobart LXIH machine. thanks,

Try disconnecting power from the unit either at the plug or the breaker if hard wired. Reconnect the power and turn it on. If the water drains, refills and operates as usual, your problem is likely a bad off button on the membrane switch. Let us know

Dish washer over filling?

The first thing you should do is clean the level probes in the unit. There are two probes sticking through the back of the unit and the water completes a circuit between these two telling the machine when it is full. If they are clean, you may have a faulty sensor or wiring.

E5 is a drain error - machine is not draining - check drain hoses - pull out machine if needed - check air gap. hope this helps. jimmy.

E4 indicates water level has not reached top water sensor. Check for proper flow-water pressure to machine (15-25psi) and clean sensor in wash tank
