i am using a compaq c772tu with win xp2 from 4 months but during 4 days i have a problem is that when i connect a headphone then internal speakr and headphone both are working at same time

please give me this solution

You can:
  • Unplug the speakers or turn them off when using your headphones
  • Mute the speakers from the Windows Volume Mixer (found in START -> Assecories -> Entertainment)
I have the same thing - I have speakers and Bose® headphones. What I did was get an Audio splitter, and just turn my speakers off when I'm not using it. If I want to use my speakers, I just don't put on the headphones.
