Acer 1641 laptop keyboard doesnt work

Thanks for the solution. I have an Acer 1642WLMI. My keyboard was not working. The system use to hang when i use to restart with battery on and the wirlesss also stopped working. I removed the battery and booted. All works fine. I have not inserted the battery back. BUT what if I really need a battery, because power will not be available on the move all the time. If I buy a new battery, can I boot it with battery inserted ?

• shutdown and power off your acer laptop
• then remove the battery out of laptop
• connect the power and switch on ur laptop
• let it boot to operating system
• check if its working now? ur keyboard and mouse should be working now
• you can now connect the battery and keep working.
• if u want to power off, put ur laptop in hibernate more, rather than shut-down. so u dont have to reboot next time without battery.
• if u restart or start ur laptop after a shutdown, make sure to remove the battery first

we removed the battery and used only the AC. all works fine.
