Hi,
The Problem (with new batteries or akkus) is the camera works only for a few seconds. Then the screen is black nothing is working.
Could anyone help me (with the same problem)?
I think an electronic part needs too much energy.

- Thanks,The problem is not the batteries, it is the camera itselfe.
If I use a external 5V supply it didn't work too.
Just the LED above the screen ligths for a second than the camera is switcht off automatically

- Wow...I've the same problem....don't have the AC to try but have tried both rechargable and regular batteries and the same thing happens....camera turns on and then off to a black screen....if I turn it on to the play mode...I can view pics.- Speedy3727Jan 11, 2009
- Seem to have exactly the same problem-I think it has to do with the battery voltage detection-so I might try some batteries rather than recharchables, since they should give me 6 rather than five volts.The official Fuji charger doesn't work either...

i suggest you use energizer e2 lithium batteries is has long time run with digital cameras and is good for fast camera shooting. 10-year shelf life...you would be able to save a lot with this batt.
