Three possible causes -
- Your ink cartridge is fake or
- your computer set up requires you log on as administrator to install peripherals if it is a shared PC.
- You did not switch on your printer while your PC was booting to allow it recognize the printer set up.
Solutions:
If you can afford it, get another new ink cartridge from an authorised
dealer and try again. Secondly, check whether there are administrator
priviledges attached to installing new ink cartridges. You can view your
profile setup from the Control Panel to confirm this
Finally, switch on your printer immediately you power on your PC so that
the booting process can recognize your printer setting. Do check that
the ink cartridge you are using is approved for your printer.
