My relay--I'm told--is not functioning to kick on the compressor on my Whirlpool Mark Series refrigerator/freezer, model ED 25SM, 25.4 cu Ft. I want to know the schematic so I can test the relay. The refrig calls for the compressor to kick in and it doesn't and it keeps clicking. Before the refrig stopped totally, it was clicking several times and finally the compressor kicked in. Help
I need to know how much pressure gauge on low and high for two side whirlpool refrige
There is a recall on the Embraco relay for overheating on 1.6 million Maytag brand refrigerators. The company is owned by Whirlpool.
Overload protector can cause this symptom, but it could also be the compressor that has shorted out. One way to check it out would be with a watt meter to see how many amps are being drawn. Start up current should not be more 7amps. I have changed out 3 compressors in the last 4 months, and they were all manufactured by Embraco. Good Luck
There should be a schematic located in a pocket on the back of the unit. If you've got a problem with the relay, just change it out. Do the capacitor while you're in there.
