My wife has a Timex sport watch with digital face - numbers, not a dial.  There are four buttons, two on each side.  I cannot set the watch to the correct day, date and time.  IS THERE SOME MAGIC SEQUENCE FOR PUSHING THE BUTTONS TO SET THE WATCH?

The Timex website for product manuals doesn't list this model and an email to Timex got the response that this watch wasn't manfactured by them and is now obsolete. Any other ideas??? Help, Help

This is definitive for vintage Timex Date/day watch--requires patience--pull crown out to set time and when you have gone around enough twenty four hours to have the day change to the correct midnight switch, say Sunday ready to switch to Monday on the next 24 hour increment, go around clockwise again for 24 hr, but slow down before you get to 11:55 and watch as the new date clicks in to place! Now reverse direction and go back counterclockwise to 6:00P.M., reverse again to clockwise-- go back to 11:55 and the date will change again! You have to do this as many times as is necessary to get to the date before the midnight change you want--so if the next day is ,say, the Monday the 15th, you want the last 6:00 to 11:55 to register Sunday the 14th. Now go past midnight this time and the day AND date will be correct.

Definitive solution for vintage timex with date/day--takes patience--pull out crown to time setting position, go clockwise till day is set for day before your new correct day and date, say, Sunday which will click at 5 minutes after midnight. Now continue clockwise for 24 hr till you are near 11:55 P.M. and begin to slow down. When you go past 11:55 P.M. the Date will change--stop here, don't go past midnight or Sunday will turn over to Monday. Reverse direction to counter clockwise and go back to 6:00 P.M., reverse direction counterclockwise, and go back to 11:55 P.M. Every time you do this the date will change untill you are at the correct date for your Sunday(or other day). Now if you go past midnight, the day AND date will change and you will be very happy.

Couldn't find editor-after 6:00 P.M. should read "reverse direction clockwise"

For the analog Timex Indiglo with both day and date (CR 2016 Cell on back) and only the single crown available you must first pull out the stem and turn through the hours 24 at a time to get to the correct day(MON,TUES,etc.). Then you can pull the stem out only half way and set the date (1,2,3,etc.). Be careful to attend to the AM/PM time as you turn the stem for the day. Go too far and the day will change at noon and you have to wind through seven more 24 hours to correct it.

Pull the stem out part of the way not all of the way. This will allow you to change the date quickly without the day moving.

I had this problem on my Timex Expedition with Indiglo. I could get the date right, but the day of week was wrong.

My watch has two buttons on the right-hand side, with one at 2'oclock and the other at 3 o'clock.

1. Get your digital display to show the day and date.
2. Pull the button at 2 o'clock out all the way
3. There are acutally two "out" clicks on this button--the first allows the date to be set
4. The second one or farthest out, allows you to set the day of week
5. When you get to the day of the week area, you just roll the button until you get the right day of the week.
6. Make sure to push the button ALL the way back in once you are done

Hope this helps!!!

How to remove stem on timex indiglo WR 30M ?

Insane as it seems, apparently the Indiglo wr30m watch stem does NOT have either a set screw or a release button. No vice needed though, just good fingernails. Pull it out one click to the 'set time' position and pull it out some more and it comes out.

i wind the clock hands forward until the calendar date and week day changes and then i re-wind the hands until it comes to the correct time. when i re-wind the hands, the week day goes back to the correct date and the calendar date does not go back by one day. i don't know if this is the "correct" way to do it, but it works.

Changing the DAY on this analog watch.

On some analog Timex watches with a day/date window there are only two "pull-out" positions on the stem, one for changing the date and one for the time. To change the day you need to pull the stem all the way out and crank the hands through 24 hour periods until you get the day correct. Be sure that you have the correct AM/PM setting (if you are setting the watch after noon you need to advance the hands another 12 hours so that the day changes at midnight)

How to change battery for Timex Indiglo WR 30M

I second the vice advice...the only thing that worked was to put it in a vice and crank it one more crank then you think is possible. You will hear a little "pop" when it snaps into place. It was the only thing that worked!
