Leaking pressure release tap at LHS base of La PAvoni
Model HOTELM Manufacture year 2005 Type 220-240/400-415V
Tap relases pressure from the glass column showing pressure into the waste container via a soft teflon tube. The tap is dripping rather ominously and needs replacing but I have no manual or idea what the part is called or its ID number. Many dedicated coffee drinkers of taste and discernment would be grateful if you could help. Regards Chris

Hi there,
If you have a La Pavoni lever model espresso machine and the safety assembley on the top right hisses while the machine is heating up, all you have to do is use something hard but preferably not metal or too large and tap the safety assembly quite firmly but not to hard and this should stop the hissing. This is because inside the assembly there is a bung on a spring and sometimes it becomes stuck and just needs a gentle tap to free it up. If it doesn't stop hissing then you can remove and stretch the spring or if needs be replace the spring and bung.
Hi there, i am Mr La Pavoni based in Glasgow, Scotland and i will be able to help you. If you know the parts you require then i think you would be best to replace them as if it keeps blowing fuses then it may cause more damage than you would like. If you go to www.theespressoshop.co.uk you can buy every individual part for the lever models online and they send very quickly too. If you need further assistance please don't hesitate to get in touch with me at [email protected]
Hi there,
I am an engineer that services these machines on a daily basis. Good news - you are not missing anything at all. The type of cap you have, has a safety release valve built in which will be the hissing sound. If you fill the boiler as normal, turn on the machine and allow to boil up as normal and if steam starts hissing out and does not stop then just give it a light tap and this should stop. Basically when these machines are new the spring inside sticks and once you have tapped it a few times to release it, it should loosen it up and it will give a brief hiss then stop as the machine heats up. I hope this helps but if you have any further questions you can get me at [email protected]
Hi there, i am a domestic espresso machine engineer based in Glasgow and i specialise in La Pavoni machines. If you could get in touch with me at my e-mail address ([email protected]) i will be able to help you but i will require some info from you about what happened. It sounds like a pressure problem or the thermostat has gone allowing the water to over boil and build up too much pressure. Pressurestat is most probable i reckon. If you give me an idea of what happened i will be able to help you. I work alongside the UK's lead supplier of La Pavoni spairs so have all bits in stock. E-mail me or give me a buzz on 0141 425 1083 and i can sort you out.
Hi there,
It seems to me that your pressure stat which is inside the base of your machine needs replacing. I would try to give it a good descale and if this doesn't do the trick then a new pressure stat is what you need. Prob around £20 if you buy it and do it yourself. www.theespressoshop.co.uk and just click on the little la pavoni machine for full parts list.
in the boiler water is heated and presured up to 1.5 bar
when water gets in lever and non return valve closes becouse you press the lever down, your energy is used to get high pressure, it should be frpm 7 up to 9 bar.
SOLUTION==if you search way for modifying, you must consider that you must pump directly to group, not to boiler. in this case water will be cold (becouse comes from pump). you will need boiler in boiler to heat the water wich comes from pump before it gets to group. this is bit more complicated than you thought may bee but it is only solution.
