This may be covered by a recall. Try calling 888-607-5694 and tell them your problem, they sent me a new stainless steel burner for free.

10 year old DCS Oven does ignite. Oven ignitor glows but maybe not enough to trigger LP from being introduced?

just because the ignitor glows it doesn't mean it's good,it takes 3.2 amps for the ignitor to open the gas valve and ignite the flame, usually if the flame doesn't ignite in around 40 seconds the ignitor is bad.also check the burner tube, your model number doesn't come up so i don't know if you have one or two ignitors in this oven but i've found that when the ignitor starts to fail and the customer waits to long to have it looked at the ignitor burns a hole in the tube and then both the ignitor and tube has to be changed, hope this helps and good luck with your oven.

Viking gas oven model # VGIC3656BSS, serial #022404-2919 takes FOREVER to preheat up. Sometimes in excess of 40 minutes. Been a problem for a while. Looks like flames at bottom do not increase when oven...

When increasing the temp. on a gas range the oven's burners do not increase flame size as the cooktop burners do. It just keeps the burner lighted for a longer amount of time.

First if you can see the burners do they light within about a min. or less. If no you probably have bad igniters which are not lighting the burners as quickly as they should or they are "opening up" (stops working) when they get too hot. In this case replacement of the igniters should solve the problem.

Second if it lights quickly but still takes a while to heat; you want to look at the burners to ensure that the flames are down both sides of the burner tube and not dancing around too much. If only part of the two sides of the burner tubes are lighted then a pluged orifice or burner tube is the most likely cause. Once cleaned it should work fine.

As with anything mechanical there are numurous possiblities for something not working correctly and above are the two most popular reasons that come to my mind.

It takes about a hour to turn on

if it's gas you need a new ignitor, don't use it like that or you can burn a hole through the burner tube also.next time send the brand name and model number

Gas oven not working. burners work. not

The holes may be plugged with residue. With the oven off! Try taking a paper clip and unplugging the whole. Make sure the ignitor next to the burner tube is secured and is not broken. These are under the bottom oven plate. Most models.

Dynasty oven fails to get enough gas to light.

I think you are talking about the oven safety valve or thermal valve. before you change you oven safety valve, I would check the Amperage on the oven ignitor first, install AMP meter on one of the ignitor wire, it should draw above 3AMPs, if not then you have problem with the oven ignitor and not the safety valve. we hardly change the safety valve, I'll try to change the ignitor first. Have fun.

Dynasty model dgr-336b mfg.1993 converted to propane serial #040692h

pull up the floor of your oven and look at the burner, have any of the small gas holes rusted out in to bigger holes? Sounds like it is possible that most of the gas is now coming out a 'burned out' hole rather than the small neat row of normal holes. Good luck.
