Either there is a clamp that needs the two ends squeezed together and it will slide down the hose, or you need two wrenches to unthread the hose

I need some info on how to replace the high pressure a/c hose for my 2002 honda odyssey

You can replace a hose if you know it need to be,
but you can't pull a vacuum & leak test & charge
with refrigerant,so go to a repair shop

How much should it cost to replace the a/c compressor/manifold hose on a Buick Century 2002

You can replace the parts or hose yourself but you
can not pull a vacuum & leak test or add refrigerant

That requires training, experience & special equipment

Did you not get a price at the dealer, just ask a repair shop
or figure less than a dealer would overcharge you

For the parts I would only buy A/C or Power Steering Hoses
from a dealer. I have never found the auto parts store ones
to fit very well, even from top brand name companies.

Have repair shop get hose at dealer with a discount &
install for you & recharge

How can i get to the fuel pump on a 92 acura vigor?

  • REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
  • Print
The fuel pump on all models except the 1986-90 Integra, is located in the fuel tank. On the 1986-90 Integra the fuel pump is located under the rear of the vehicle, near the drivers side of the fuel tank.

    PRESSURE TESTING

    See Figure 1
On all models, the fuel pump should run for about 2 seconds when the ignition is first turned ON . By removing the filler cap and listening at the filler, it should be possible to hear the pump run each time the ignition is switched ON . It will then stop again until the starter is activated.

    0900c1528004984f.jpg enlarge_icon.gifenlarge_tooltip.gif

Fig. Fig. 1: Checking the fuel system pressure

    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the fuel filler cap.
    2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
    3. Remove the service bolt and attach a fuel pressure gauge to the top of the fuel filter.
    4. Start the engine and measure the fuel pressure with the engine idling and vacuum hose to the pressure regulator disconnected;

    1986-1989 Integra-35-41 psi. (240-279 kPa) 1990-93 Integra-37-44 psi. (255-304 kPa) 1989-90 Legend-36-41 psi. (250-279 kPa) 1991-93 Legend-38-46 psi. (265-314 kPa) Vigor-43-50 psi. (300-350 kPa)
    1. Check to see that the pressure decreases when the vacuum hose is connected.
    2. If the pressure is higher than specifications, check for a pinched or clogged fuel return hose or faulty pressure regulator.
    3. If the pressure is lower than specifications, check for a clogged filter, defective pressure regulator or leakage in the fuel line.
    4. After inspection, remove the pressure gauge and install the service bolt with a new washer.

    REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

    1986-1989 Integra

    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
    3. Raise and safely support the vehicle and remove the left rear wheel.
    4. Remove the fuel pump cover bolts and the cover.
    5. Remove the fuel pump mount bolts and the fuel pump with it's mount.
    6. Disconnect the fuel hoses and the electrical connectors.
    7. Installation is the reverse of removal. Use new sealing washers when connecting the fuel hoses. After the pump is installed, turn the ignition switch ON and OFF a number of times to pressurize the system and check for leaks.

    1990-93 Integra and Vigor
    See Figures 2 and 3
    1. On Integra, remove the rear seat and access panel and disconnect the wiring.
    2. Remove the fuel tank.
    3. Remove the pump flange mounting nuts and lift the pump out.
    4. Installation is the reverse of removal. Use new sealing washers when connecting the fuel hoses. After the pump is installed, turn the ignition switch ON and OFF a number of times to pressurize the system and check for leaks.

    Legend

    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
    3. Remove the maintenance access cover in the luggage area.
    4. Disconnect the fuel lines and the electrical connectors.
    5. Remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank.
    6. Installation is the reverse of removal. Use new sealing washers when connecting the fuel hoses. After the pump is installed, turn the ignition switch ON and OFF a number of times to pressurize the system and check for leaks.

Do 2008 nissan titan power steering pressure hoses have restrictors

You had leaking hoses replaced & now you
    have other issues?

    Some shop you went to

Sounds like it is low on fluid or the
    pump is whining

When you can't take the noise anymore,
    replace the pump

Have to use the correct fluid, maybe that
    wasn't done as well

The Steering Rack may have failed from no
fluid changes every 3 years & that is your
restriction, not the hoses, rack may be bound

There is a leak coming from the high pressure hose on the fuel pump.

get yourself a replacement piece of high pressure tubing available in most auto stores for a few bucks, remember to get the same internal & external diameter as the original hose & while you are there get some circlips that just slip over the hose at their widest, remember that the hose will be a little wider maybe a millimeter? or two? when it is attached to the fuel pump spur, then before you put the new hose onto the fuel pump spur put the circlips over the hose, fit the hose to the fuel pump spur then tighten the circlips around the hose & spur, the tighter you can get tighter you can get them the better, total cost under ten bucks and about 2hrs of your time including going to the store to get the parts!

My clutch seems to have gone out tonight. The clutch is very easy to push to the floor...and it pops back....there's no pressure at all. The clutch fluid is leaking from the hose. Could this be the...

it could be either the master cylinder or the slave cylinder,it could also be the clutch pressure plate check the master & slave cylinders first because if it's the pressure plate the gear box will have to be removed to replace the pressure plate, even if you are uncertain it is most likely cheaper to replace the master & slave cylinders than it would be to replace the pressure plate.....hope this helps......cheers.

I have a 2001 Taurus with the 24 valve engine. The high pressure line to the p/s pump blew a leak and my steering started to moan so I limped it home and replaced the p/s pump to be safe. I then replaced...

Your story is very strange to me

You work on your own car which is
great, even playing with a teflon gasket
trying to learn something & resolve a
    problem

THEN -- you go off somewhere & talk about
    a dealer & a $500 hose

WHY would a dealer even come to mind,
after the 3 year warrantee is up?

Wouldn't you buy the hose, if necessary
    & replace it yourself?

Remove the fluid resevoir & check that the
    internal filter isn't clogged.
That may have been your only problem

Freon leaking from high pressure hose

You'll need an A/C tech to replace the leaking hose. The A/C system will have to be purged so the hose can be replaced, and then the system will have to be evacuated (put under vacuum to remove air and moisture in the air) and recharged. It'll probably cost around $100.00 plus the price of the high pressure line and refrigerant.

Our he3 elite keeps over filling and stops and beeps gives error message h & f

The pressure switch has not tripped 8 minutes after the water valves are turned on and the flow meter has detected about 10.5 gallons of water entering the machine. Either the pressure switch contact is stuck in the empty position or the pressure hose has air leaks or clogs causing the pressure switch not to trip.

Disconnect power then remove the screws attaching the top panel to the rear of the machine then slide the panel rearwards and off the cabinet. Locate the pressure switch at the right side of the cabinet.

    jahn27_78.jpg

Disconnect the pressure hose from the pressure switch then blow air down into the hose forcefully to clear it for clogs and check it for air leaks and kinks. Remove the pressure switch from the cabinet the do the same as for the pressure hose to possible free the stuck or welded contacts. replace the pressure hose if it has air leaks and/or the pressure switch itself if the contacts cannot be released.
