Question about Zanussi WJS1397W Front Load Washer / Dryer
I can plug it in and the power light will stay on, but as soon as I close the door and it tries to start a program, it trips the RCD. It is only just over 2 years old and gets light use, brushes in the motor are fine, I have checked for any obvious wiring fauls or wear, element is also fine, can anyone help??
I stripped the motor down, gave it a good clean checked all the wiring for damage/wear, all was good, put it back on the washer and it's working just fine now

Try running with the element disconnected and the wires taped up. usual cause is the element down to earth.
try same procedure with the motor disconnected
