Question about Hoover U6437-900 / U6439-900 Windtunnel Bagged Upright Vacuum
Are you certain the belt is on the idler arm and that the spring is still in place? The belt has to sit on the small wheel to provide tension on the belt.

Try using a smaller belt from a different manufacturer. not to much smaller. you dont want it to be extreamly tight just get one slightly smaller and try that. it dosnt have to be made by hoover. as long as it is not wider or thinner just about the same width and slightly smaller. i do it all the time with my vacuums to save money
