Thank you for responding. The actual model number for me Mitsubishi projector TV is VS-50603. I would like to try the reset solution. I have the original remote. How do I access the hidden reset menus?b Thanking you in advance.

  • Anonymous May 29, 2012

Hello SD Tech, Thank you for the wuggestion. I pushed the menu botton, entered 1370 and selected E2 Reset. My remote does not have alpha bottons and does not have a QV botton. So I entered 78 because that corresponds to the Q and the V on my keypad.

Now, the only inputs that I can see on the screen are Ant A and Ant B. I can no longer see the other inputs and the Ant A and B inputs still don't see a signal.

Is there another reset procedure that will restore factory settings? I think it is getting worse :-(.

I have a Mitsubishi VS-50603 projector TV. Initially, neither Ant A nor Ant B could detect a signal. I tried plugging in the cable box . . . No signal. I tried the DVD and the VCR . . . No signal detected.

So, I pressed "menu, 1 3 7 0, E2RESET." Now, the only availabe inputs are Ant A and Ant B. I can no longer see Input 1, Input 2, DVD, or anything else that used to be there.

How can I recover the system?

    Steve

If the model is correct it has a series of 3 hidden menus--one is the option menu--it is a hard reset of entire set except convergence to factory original---It is called the "option" menu and is used to cure all sorts of odd issues.

It requires the use of an original MItsubishi remote and a 4 digit code.

If you want to try it let me know and confirm model number.

I found the manual but needed info not there--found this with some research on Google (model number and "option menu".

"ACCESS THE OPTION MENU BY PRESSING "MENU 1, 3, 7, 0", USE THE ADJUST BUTTON TO SELECT "E2 RESET" AND PRESS "QV"."

  • Anonymous May 29, 2012

That qv is quick view--look for something similar like last channel--it may not have entered correctly

  • Anonymous May 29, 2012

A afterthought--if no QV try enter.

SOURCE: I have a 65 inch Mitsubishi rear projection HD TV.

Does the input menu appear on the screen when you press input? If so its probably the IC Regulator 9v supplying the video board. If the green light on the front is blinking then powering off it is one of the 7 capacitors and you should just replace them all, 30-35 bucks. If the power stays on and its just your video isnt coming on(audio as well) it is the IC Regulator. Mine called for the part - BA09FP IC REGULATOR 9V It is about half the size of a pinky nail and located directly behind the video input board in the back of the tv. It has two prongs on the left side and one wide tab on the right. It solders directly to the top of the board and not through it. It says BA09 on the chip. This fixed the problem for me.

you should be able to use an SVGA to component rca connector on any component input - i have a wd-65513, and thats how I have my pc hooked up to it. I could also never get a clear picture using the SVGA plug on the back of the set.

What do I do when the tv say no signal it just have a blue screen

First you'll need to make sure your TV is on the correct input. By the way, it's likely your TV is ok, unless the input you're using is defective. If you have an external antenna for over the air reception the TV must be on the antenna input and set to Air or Antenna, not cable. If you have basic cable the input must be set to cable. If you have a box for cable or satellite you can use antenna, composite, component or HDMI input. HDMI or component will give you the best picture. At this point just make sure the TV is set to the same input the box is connected to. If you still see the no signal then the Main board is bad.

We get garbled sound on new sharp aquos +Q TV 60 inch

If you are using an antenna for input, then you are probably partially losing sync with the signal. You may want to adjust the antenna or try a signal booster. If you have input from a cable box, check the HDMI cable, possibly replacing it with a new one. If you're using a cable box with RCA cables, (Composite or component inputs) then the problem is most likely with the cable box loosing sync with the channel feed.

I clicked a button by accident last night and now my Vizio tv reads no signal and a small display in the top right corner reads AV. How can I get my tv to read cable signals again??

What input is the cable connected to? (Coax antenna In, component video, composite video)

Look on the remote or the TV itself for a button marked Source or Input. Press this. For some TVs, use the up/down arrows to select the input to which your cable is connected. (TV = coax) On other models, you may need to press the Source button several times to advance between inputs. (I'm assuming you have a remote that works for this feature on the TV; otherwise, use the TV button.)

I hope this helps.

Cannot get a signal. tried all the imputs.

I wish you would have said what your using for signal- cable, cable box, satellite ?

Cable- The lead screws into the cable in jack. Then auto program set.

Cable Box- Cable screws into "cable in" on box. It's best to use the 3 jacks colored RED-GREEN-BLUE,and red & white for Audio. These are known as Component Input. If your not using that way then you can use A/V input. These will have 3 leads,Yellow (video) Red (audio-R) and White (audio L). Either way, just make sure Component >Component or Video > Video and dont forget the audio. After your done just change your input on the tv (via) remote to which ever input you used.

Satellite- Is the same hook up as cable Box

Outside or Indoor Antenna- Connect to Antenna Input and Auto Program your set. It will know what your using.

Im trying to connect my unit to my tv to record shows and i having trouble doing so please help i am hooking it up wrong

For OTA or CATV signals, you need to daisy chain the coax from the source (antenna for OTA) to the coax input on DVD recorder and then the coax out to the coax input of the TV. If you have a set-top cable box with an incoming CATV signal, it should be connected between the DVD recorder and the TV.

The unit can tune in and record 480i (SD) ATSC (OTA digital), NTSC (OTA analog), analog CATV and digital CATV channels.

A satellite receiver or a non-CATV cable box should get the incoming signal first and then have their composite video output (A/V) connected to the DVD recorder composite video input and then their coax (RF) output (if present) gets connected to the TV. For these, you would record from the IN1 or IN2 (press Select Input) instead of selecting a channel. Then connect the composite video out on the recorder to the TV's composite video in.

Digital signals are either enough to tune in or give no signal. So check that your antenna is correctly oriented for OTA.

Separately, you can connect the video signal when playing DVDs via composite (good signal) out and component out (better signal) out to the TV's matching input. For the component video, the sound is carried on a separate cable. Then set the TV to the input source.

In the case of wanting to watch a VHS tape while taping to a DVD, do not use the Component video source, set the TV to Input 1 (composite).

I hope this helps.

Tv says it will turn off in a few seconds check if air way is blocked

what brand, type and model of tv is it? some tv's will simply turn off if they don't have a signal-like cable, antenna, satellite, present at the rf input (antenna or Cable input on back of tv)-try using component or hdmi connection and see if it is still present. if not, you probably need to recheck your cable, etc connection to your tv.

Proron pltv-4250 no signal

THE BEST INPUT ON YOUR SET IS THE HDMI INPUT.2ND THE COMPOSITE INPUT. 3RD THE COMPONENT INPUT. AND 4TH THE ANTENNA INPUT. MOST DISH BOXES HAVE AT LEAST THE COMPONENT OUTPUT. YELLOW IS THE VIDEO AND RED AND WHITE FOR AUDIO. USE RCA CABLES TO GO FROM BOX TO LCD SET. ON THE DISH BOX YOU CAN GO FROM ANTENNA OUT TO THE CABLE OR ANTENNA IN ON THE LCD. SWITCH TV TO CHANNEL 3. AND TURN YOUR DISH BOX ON.

Troubleshooting vcr

Usually one connects a RF [cable tv, Dish tv, antenna ] cable to the INPUT of VCR & a RF cable output to tv (antenna )INPUT .The reason is that if you are watching TV reception (Cable, Dish, etc) and you want to watch VCR tape, just push the tape in and it should start playing picture.
From what I understand that you are trying to say:: [ YOUR NEW TV ! ] you MUST connect to the RCA jacks, CABLE S with RCA plugs that come out of the VCR to the new TV [ INPUT & OUTPUT] jacks .When you ["" use input botton on VCR remote"" ] you are using a DIFFERENT input signal. You are not letting the TV know that you are changing the signal from RF(antenna, Cable, Dish, etc)to the RCA signal ["" I use my input botton on my vcr remote""]
