THERE is sometimes some restrictions on the format you can inject in your player, (sometimes no wma, only mp3, and for sure, basicly) 128bps

I was given the MW3836 GPX MP3 as a gift. I have never work with MP3's. I want to record some music in it and then listen to them. How can I do this? Thank you. I have Win XP on my pc.

Hi,

Please find details to connect your MP3/MP4 player to your computer:

In order tp download songs to the mp3 player firstly, you should make sure that which kind of format does your mp3 player supports, like:format MP3, WMA, WAV, ASF, ACT.If you are not so sure about it's format, please refer to the manual of your mp3 player.
Secondly, download the right format songs from internet( many sites have the capability to wownload free music) and save them. If not sure go to Google, and look for free songs.
Once done:
1.Get the songs you want onto a computer
2. Plug your Player into the computer it should have come with a cable when you bought it
3. (On Windows) Go to My computer from the start menu
4.Select your Player from the list of drives that you should see C: D: ect... (if you dont see yours specfically click on all of them untill you find one that looks like it should be
5. Once youve found it, copy or cut your songs or videos onto your player For an MP4 player your songs must be MP3 and videos in MP4 format
6. unplug your device and turn it on, that should have worked
Download all the music to your local PC, connect your mp4 player to your PC with USB cable 'make sure that all necessary drivers are installed', If it's connected > synchronise it with windows media player then drag and drop the music in the device panel.

How can i get videos on my mp4

There's an online manual for COBY mp-c7095 in pdf format:
http://www.cobyusa.com/files/manuals/MPC7095_MN.pdf

1. Use the video conversion software from the CD for adjusting
video to correct size before transferring to the player.
2. Check the system requirements for video conversion on page 34.
The conversion software in zip format can be downloaded with this link:
http://www.cobyusa.com/files/software/MTVVideoConverter_Ver1.12.11.zip

Once video is converted u could use Windows Media Player 11 for
transfers. A short guide on WMP11 for putting files onto the device:

1. Have WMP11 always on top for "drag and drop" usage
Right click in the head of the WMP11 page:

in Tools > Options... > Player : select "Keep the player on top ..."
Restore Down the size of the WMP11 screen and adjust the size on the
edge(s) as you require for your screen.
2. in [Library] mode: under Playlists "Create Playlist" e.g. "My Playlist"
and Enter: "My Playlist" is added on the right screen side.
3. Open your data maps and ad files by drag and drop method
onto the right saying "Drag items here"
4. when ready adding files in [Library] mode: "Save Playlist"
5. in [Sync] mode drag e.g. "My Playlist" under the connected device
and "Start Sync": wait until al files have synchronized: a message
will show up when you can disconnect the player.

It wont work

When you go into "My Computer" and double-click on the icon of the Coby, it should display several folders.
Copy movie files to the “MOVIE.DIR” folder
Copy photo files to the “PHOTO.DIR” folder

Make sure the files you are transferring are the ones suggested by your user's manual.

I can't seem to download songs onto my mp4 player

Your Coby player is not compatible with iTunes. What you will have to do is to download the songs from iTunes, and, provided the songs do NOT have copy protection on them (possibly unlikely), you will need to download a free program like Media Monkey to convert the songs to Mp3 format. Once the songs are converted to mp3 format, you can use either Media Monkey or Windows Media Player to transfer the songs to your mp3 player.

Wont copy songs to mp3 player because of write protection

To adjust the copy protection setting on your ripped music files,
  1. Open the Tools tab at the top of your Windows Media Player.
  2. Select Options and then select the Rip Music tab.
  3. Under this menu, you will be able to choose the type of music file as well as the quality with which you would like to save the music.
  4. Make sure the box next to Copy protect music is left unchecked.
Your GPX player has the ability to play music files in both the MP3 and WMA format. Make sure to use MTP when transferring copy-protected WMA files.

Manual for infitek mp3/mp4

Problem: Infitek MP4 player is recognized by Vista and Windows XP but when you try to put files on it, error pops up.
Solution: The MP4 needs to be reformatted to FAT32 file system, here is howto do it:
1) Connect USB cable to PC
2) Connect Infitek to cable.
3) An AutoPlay window will pop up on your PC. Select "Open folders to view files using Windows Explorer"
4) On the left of the explorer window the following will be seen "Removable Disk (?:)" (? can be any letter in the alphabet, most likely E-K)
5) Right click on "Removable Disk (?:)" with your mouse and select "Format"
6) "Format Removable Disk (?:)" window will appear, select FAT32 from the FIle system Combo box and select Quick Format from the Format options and click on START
You may need to format the MP4 more than once, it did not work for mr the first time.
7) After you receive a message, Format completed successfully you can drag and drop any files to the "Removable Disk (?:)" which is the MP4 player storage area.
8) Disconnect the cable, turn on the MP4, if at main menu use the >>| key to get to the Music, Click MENU key to get to the first song, click >|| to play song.

I used .WMA files (Windows Media Player) songs. They seemed to work ok

Good luck!
