1 Answer

What's the deal?

I have JC-102cua(2-port)I don't know what happened, but i am not able to switch over to the second PC for more than 2-3 seconds before it switches back to the 1st PC. I don't have my manual handy or i would read up on the troubleshootinbg section Oh, and yes, both PC's are up and running in case you are wondering. Thanks in advance, Kevin.

Is it possible that there is a problem with the button? Try wiping them down with a damp paper towel or blasting it with canned air. Also, most of the time KVM's have a keyboard shortcut that will change the input also, perhaps give that a try.

3. Press and hold top/North/up of Scroll Wheel
4. Connect USB cable to device

HP DV9700-L/side ports- which one will work for second display/TV

I do not know if this is the answer you are looking for, but I know that when I connected my S-video connection to some old crappy big screen TV, I had to set the laptop's second video output to specifically output to S-video. There were 3 or 4 different settings that had to be done. I dont remember the details, all I remember is that the 1. the second video monitor had to be set to the s-video connection. 2. the analog video setting had to be set to PAL or NTSC or whatever they are, I dont know what it is off the top of my head, then there was another setting, I dont remmeber, I think it was the setting to 'clone' the screen so that it just duplicated it. In this case, you might have to set the resolution to somthing smaller that would fit on a standard definition screen.

Laptop will not connect properly

If possible directly connect the KVM cables to the laptop computer. Try to avoid connecting the KVM cables to a docking station. Also if your KVM has manual port selection buttons on the front of the KVM try holding that button for about five seconds when switching ports.

When in AutoScan mode, no mouse or keyboard controls. If the user moves the mouse or uses the keyboard while switching the connection between computer and the switch might be interrupted and cause erratic mouse movement and errant display when using the keyboard.

Maximum resolution supported is 2048 x 1536 @ 75Hz.

If mouse movement is erratic:
