Question about Kenmore 63942 Dryer
The dryer works fine but it makes a loud thumping sound similar to the sound made if you had a tennis shoe in the dryer.
It's probably time for new drum support rollers. There are two rollers the drum rides on and their bearings can fail, which makes them noisy and also makes the drum wobbly while it turns. Replacing the rollers isn't difficult, and you can do it yourself if you feel comfortable working with hand tools and are patient.
