Download driver n10225

n10225 isn't a Creative Labs model number. Look more closely at your webcam and find the part number. It will start VF*, PD*, or CT*. However, the available drivers for the WebCam Live! are here: http://support.creative.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?catID=218&subCatID=847&prodID=10412&prodName=WebCam%20Live!&subCatName=WebCam%20Series&CatName=Web+Cameras&VARSET=prodfaq:PRODFAQ_10412,VARSET=CategoryID:218 . Creative Labs wrote drivers for Windows 98 through Windows XP, including the XP x64. If you have a newer OS, these drivers may not help.

If you have a different camera from Creative Labs, you can find some support from the manufacturer. For current Creative Lab webcam support start here: http://support.creative.com/Products/Products.aspx?catid=218 . Additional webcam support (older models) starts here: http://support.creative.com/Products/product_list.aspx?catID=218&CatName=Web+Cameras .

I wish that I had better news for you if you do have the WebCam Live!

I have an Amcap webcam and cannot get it to work with Skype. I can see and hear my friend but she can only hear me? Any suggestions before I buy another?

Do not be in a hurry to buy another webcam. Firstly, go to Control Panel->Add Remove programs. Here you will find your camera listed. If not then install the webcam and then find it here. Start Skype and go to Tools->Options->Video. Here specify your webcam as the default camera and save. Now when you start to talk to anyone you will get 2 choices. Call and Video Call. If you start Video Call your camera will take about 30 seconds to start and commence sending your live video, whether the other part has a webcam or not.
If there is no Webcam displayed in Add Remove Programs then you must first install the drivers without the webcam attached to the PC. reboot and then attach the webcam. Allow Windows to detect the camera and load its drivers. You will get a msg in the right bottom corner of the screen saying "Your new HW has been installed and it is ready to be used.". Now configure Skype as above and start video Calling.

Will not work with Yahoo messenger

Plug in webcam
Visit this page, using Internet Explorer only !!
Make sure your webcam is displayed and allow time for control software to download onto your computer
Check your wbcam is running at the bottom of the page, before moving on.
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/messenger10/webcam/mstacamtest.html
Once your webcam is working here, you know its compatible with Yahoo and you can make your settings.
Its good practice to disconnect and re-connect your webcam before you start - if you have been using it elsewhere the Yahoo software may have difficulty in locating it.
Mine, I just unplug it from the USB and plug it back in, if yours is integral with the computer you will have to re-start the computer, or disable/enable them webcam in Device Manager.

INTERNET CONNECTION
Webcam connected
Open messenger - on top toolbar. Left click ( > ) Messenger > Preferences > Connection - Select 'no proxies' or 'connect direct to the internet' depending on the version of messenger you have
make sure your internet connection and country are correct in the lower two boxes > Apply > OK

TESTING
> Messenger > My webcam - the warning panel will launch, click 'OK' and your webcam will start.

DEFAULT WEBCAM
With webcam still running > Messenger > Preferences > Webcam > Camera Source - set your webcam as default using dropbox. > Camera Settings - adjust settings to suit. > Apply > OK
Take a note of any additional software, if you have multiple choice for Camera Source, you may wish to uninstall any redundant webcam software later to prevent conflicts

I want to know how to install it on my computer

Hey,
Follow these steps...
1. Plug your webcam in the port(usually USB 2.0 port) 2. Insert your driver cd in the cd drive. 3. Restart your PC. 4. It will detect the new harware( your webcam) and start installing the driver. 5. When the driver installation is over, you can start using your webcam!
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
