Jenn-Air JGD8130 Gas Cooktop will not ignite. Electronic pilotless ignition 'clicks' but will not ignite the flame. Have removed and cleaned the elements, still no luck.
On e burner of my cooktop will not light. All 3 others work normally and all 3 spark when I turn them on. The non-working one does not spark. I have cleaned the port under the mechanism but it still will not light. On e burner of my cooktop will not light. All 3 others work normally and all 3 spark when I turn them on. I have the same problem. The right side rear quit igniting first, now (a few months later) the right front has stopped. the part is 200.00, way too expensive for this part. i have done everything the manual says to fix it , still- no success.I have the same problem. What do you mean by "all four burners turn on" Some electronic ignite systems turn on on all the burners, But just the SPARK not the gas part of the burner. Is this what you are describing?.
there are two small holes at the base of the burner where the pipe goes up to it but doesn't touch. i had the same problem and it turned out that these two holes were clogged. i just straightedend a paper clip and solved the problem
grab hold of the installed burner cartridge at he top of unit and pry up slightly, should lift up without much effort, if not try lifting front side. they jsut lift up and slide back in no screws hold them in place
I've had the same problem for 2 years. Today I removed the four burner tops, the 15/16 inch bolt that holds the burners in place, took everything apart (simple connections underneath), completely cleaned and dried eveything. I also cleaned the 4 knobs and making sure the 4 swiches slide up and down freely then dried everything with a hairdryer. Is now works fine but if the problem comes back, I'll simply unplug the cooktop and light it manually. P.S. I stripped one of the large 5/16 inch bolt that had become weak and brittle. - Try using water or some liquid to loosen the bolts as necessary. Good luck, CHEERS!
