First and simplest thing to try is make sure printer, monitor, and anything else attatched to your computer is turned off and the main box (of course. switch off at the socket and remove plug-plugs
next check no wires have come loose in the back of your computer- leave for a few minutes (go and make a cup of tea, coffee whatever) plug something else into the socket like a radio or hairdryer to make sure a fuse haasn't blown or something.
plug everything back into sockets switch plugs back on, turn on monitor and other bits and bobs but leave the main box till last switch this on and hold the button down for about the count of 5, and hopefully all will be well. Good Luck

Popup on desktop computer saying it is from Windows...and I have 280 trojans in c drive and 70 d drive etc..wants to run a program to delete? i think it is a scam?

Its a virus. Easiest way to delete it is to run a comfix. Its a little program that will remove all the trojans and viruses that cant be detected by traditional antivirus programs.

So,

Download combofix from http://www.combofix.org/downloadlink.php

after you download it, put in on your desktop. Restart your computer and go inside Safe Mode. You do that by pressing F8 when computer is booting up. Once in safe mode, run combofix and just follow onscreen instructions. let it finish and do not interrupt anything.

That should help you. I would run another AntiVirus Program (AVG or AVAST) If you have paid one, even better!

Hope this helps!

Crashing taking a long time to load. popups when i close a page all page closes cannot download pictures or anything.

You have a virus that is why it is crashing and that is why the popups. You have at least one type of virus called adware. That's what the pop ups are, virus causes popups and won't clear. If you do not have any anti-virus software you can download one for free. Google AVG Free Virus and it will take you to the AVG website. Download the AVG anti-virus and run it. If its not infected too bad it will clear it up. If not then you will need to back up all of you documents, favorites and email. Wipe all the data off your hard drive and then re-install Windows. If you have any questions let me know. Please rate this solution.
