I have a Sony TV model number KV-2167MT Trinitron.
I'm facing problem while switch on from front switch
Standby LED blinking while press any switch Like Volume up down, program up
down. but power not on. It is hearing low level zoom sound from power supply.

Please replace Horizontal Output Transistor in KV-2167MT and TV will start function.

Problem is not resolved. I have replaced Horizontal Output Transistor 2SD1878 in my KV-2167MT but TV is not working. The low level sound ,,cirrr..cirrr..." is the same and Standby LED blinking while press any switch Like Volume up down, program updown. What the ****? Second question-how can i check HOT 2SD1878. It is not simple transistor because there is diode inside connected to collector and emitter. May be i bought bad transistor or there is another problem?
Thank you for trying help me. I am busy now and I can't use your solution. Next weekend may be I try to test and repair my TV set. Actually an old 2SD1878 was shorted absolutely-allways resistance was 0 between base-emitter, base-collector and emitter-collector. Under your last comment my new transistor is functional.Sorry for mistakes-I am from Lithuania and English is not my native language.
