Before installing a new toner, put a disposable towel over the ink toner exit, and shake your toner lightly back and forth and up and down. Make sure your toner cartridge is in the open position before replacing it in your printer.
If you are using a refillable ink cartridge, make sure you are resetting the cartridge using the method described by the refillable manufacturer.
If this does not answer your question please request more information before voting on my answer. I will try to find more information about your toner cartridge that will help you futher.
I guess it FixYa didn't accept my (very long, but totally correct) solution that I took the time to type. Because I refused to "sign in". Here's the short version. Load Paper. The same thing happened to me. I replaced the toner cartridge with a new one (because of a FLASHING red light for several weeks) after the red light went to STEADY red. But it still would not print. The paper was "out". When I'd refilled the paper-tray, it printed fine. I had just ASSUMED that the steady-red light meant toner was finally OUT. WRONG! That steady-red light had nothing-to-do with toner; it meant "you're out-of-paper". Don't get confused like I did. Refill the paper-tray. Then take that expensive NEW toner cartridge OUT, and put the OLD toner cartridge back in. And keep using the "dregs" of the toner out of the old cartridge for several more weeks. And DON'T get confused by the paper-is-out condition making that red light STEADY.
This is usually caused by a third party toner and not an hp toner cartridge. My suggestion would be to see if you can get an oem hp toner cartridge (magenta) and see if the error goes away. If the error goes away then you know its the toner cartridge. This happens because all the manufactures put a chip into the cartridge that make it so you have to kinda use there toner. When third partys manufacture cartridges sometimes there chip they use is not compatible with your printer. Another way to test this would be to put your old one back in. You will still get toner empty but at least the 10.10.02 should go away.
I hope this helps please let me know how it works out. thanks
It mean when your toner is near empty, then red light flashing.tow light is fixed or red mean toner cartridge is empty.must be replace toner cartridge. You buy a new cartridge and put in your printer then printer is OK.
you can also get better idea please read printer user guide.
open the front of the printer as if you were going to replace the toner and hold the button down on top of the printer keep holding it until all the lights on the printer have lit up (they may then start to flash.
Once you have done this close the lid on the front of the printer (it should at this point clear the toner light).
Is it a recycled toner cartridge as some of the are badly refurbished and they don't always reset the Toner empty indicator on them, (its a mechanical gear on the side of the cartridge itself). and this can sometimes cause it to come on.
You could try going into the sp modes and check sp 5052-1 this is for independent toner check if the toner cartridge was checked by the copier as empty and you refilled it the machines check of the chip still senses it empty by turning this off it could reset it for you .. I have had some mixed results sometimes it works only occasional failure.. Hope it helps Good Luck A
The green flashing light lets you know that the machine is recieving data. This is completely normal, however, the red (Attention) light can mean several things. There can be a door open, missing toner cartridge, out of paper, or paper jam. In this cause it is probably the toner cartridge. Typically on these machines there is an Orange or Green tab on the side of the toner cartridge that needs to be pulled to fully engage the cartridge. You may want to make sure this has been pulled and the cartridge has been properly seated.
Hope this helps...let me know if you need any further assistance
The J1 error means the toner cartridge needs to be replaced. Since you just replaced the cartridge, you should remove the cartridge and repeat the following steps..
Shake the new toner cartridge
horizontally four or five times and then
remove the cover.
Slide the new toner cartridge in until it
locks in place.
It sounds like the cover may still be on the cartridge.
