Won't load or play disc or dvd

-   I've been a VERY responsible user of my PS2 Slim for 2 years (cleaning it at every sight of the smallest speck of dust, no knocking it, no abusing it in anyway, etc.). Earlier in the afternoon, I was happily enjoying Resident Evil 4. Later that same night, any game I put in will just take me to the Browser/Sys. Config. page. Even when I insert a game at the Browser screen, the "Reading Disc" message appears for 2-3 seconds, disappears, and that's it. What could have happened in those few hours? It was left in an air-conditioned room. Could low temperatures cause this?-   NeedHelp14
