Question about HP Compaq Presario R4000 Notebook
This has happened before & I contacted customer care and they were able to guide me through the steps, but I can't remember now what to do. Anyway, my computer drive is having a problem - rather suddenly. The video is fine, but the sound is really choppy. At some point, they had me reinstall a driver, but I can't remember what one it was. I'd appreciate any help as I'm very frustrated. ;) Thank you, Kristin (email@example.com)
The driver will be in a folder on a restore partition of your harddrive, or on the installation cd that you got with the system. You can also download the driver here, http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=453183&lang=en If your not sure it's a driver fault, click Start>Run, then type 'dxdiag' and press enter. This will run a graphics and sound diagnostics.
