Image prints at the edge of the canvas

you should check the paper size loaded at the driver open devices and printers- choose HP DJ5500 driver - right click and open Printer properties-click the paper/sizes tab at the top-check that the paper size is set to ROLL- then set roll size ( 24"=A1--36"=A0---42"=A0/2A0)
now when you try to print make sure that the printing application ( EG paintshopPro) has the correct Page size (under document Properties)
and that your not strectching to fit or using the overprint commands within your printing application. the plotter should never be allowed to overprint as this model has no ay of clearing the excess ink that would be left on the platten

I have HP laserjet 1018 printer and it makes noisy sound when it prints. But it prints fine though. What causes making this noise?

The noise is probably due to the print heads aligning and clicking. To try to make this noise a little quieter, clean and align the print heads.
Good luck!

I have problem with my 5500 hp: check printhead path 2

The most common cause of the Check Print Head Path Error 2 is a worn out carriage belt. Open the top cover and locate the carriage belt. It is the long thin belt that extends the full length of the plotter. Use a light and look under the belt for debris that looks like pencil erasure crumbs. If the crumbs are there, the belt is disintegrating and needs to be replaced. See:

Brother MFC-9420CN Paper Jam Error message w/ loud grinding noiz

please try this

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

I have three Kodak printers; 2 - 5300's and 1 - 5100. All three are on the third set of print heads AND THEY ARE STARTING TO FAIL. Is it the print head or ink formulation? I suggest a class action law...

if the print head has been replaced thrice then it could be a ink cartridge problem coz there are number of look alike and refilled ink sold by retailers.......print head comes in contact with paper so make sure if the thickness of the paper is more then it might damage the print head..........always use kodak inkjet paper not any other Hp or anyother daily use paper..........if you are good with both the ink cartridge and paper then contact kodak tech support..........

HP 5500 Plotter

Sorry... the error starts with OB and not OP as mentioned in my previous request. I got this solved by a technician from a local company. He refixed the print head cleaner assembly and the problem got solved.
