Question about Maytag Dryers
I own one of the first neptune front load gas dryer. Big deal at the time. Had problems under warranty. It never seems to have heat, just tumbles the clothes. I had a repairman out twice to replace heating element. This last time he said it was heating (barely at best), but that was the way the gas dryers worked.
I have to hang my clothes on a line and my towels on the railing to dry. I then air tumble them to try to soften them.
Help!!! I love the washer but the dryer is useless., However, I have never had to worry about shrinking anything ever in this dryer.
What do I do?
If that is a gas dryer and you have some heat suspect the 2 black coils on the burner valve there are problems with them failing to to open valve after 1 or 2 heating cycles ..also be sure vent to outside to clear and hose on back not flattened or kinked also it needs to as short as possible..also RARELY thermal fuse has been know to be intermittant it is supposed to blow but not reset internal connections may be faulty jump it out temporarly to verify let me know outcome good luck
