Sony Mobile DVD MV-7101 Display is Black and White
My mobile entertainment system is stuck in PAL which causes the display to be black and white and offset horizontal alignment. This happened before and I thought there was something wrong with my system. When it was sent by circuit city to the factory, they returned it saying all that was needed was to put it back into NTSC. I can't remember how to do that this time. Any suggestions?

On the DVD Player, there maybe somewhere where you can change the output to the television (Scart) from RGB to Component or Composite-mode.
RGB causes some displays which cannot handle the RGB signals to black and white.
I hope this fixes your problem.
Finally, some TVs designed for PAL cannot handle NTSC discs played through them. It causes the display to also go Black and White. If this is the case there is nothing you can do except change the display/TV.
You are running in the wrong format.
If you are in the USA then you need to set the Bose system to NTSC. If you are in another part of the globe then set it to PAL.
The other thing is to make sure your TV is set the correct way as well. The only other thing that will cause this is if you are trying to playback a PAL dvd on an NTSC system (and the other way around of course)
All the options you need will be in the setup menus for both the TV and Bose.
Hope that helps
That should solve your problems.
DAV-DZ3k is a good sony product especially ...famous for book shelf speakers, the problem is basically due to the cables used to connect video terminals or the TVcircuits is not proper with the av receiver..
