SOURCE: Not able to scan for digital OTA channels on a JVC LT-32X667 LCD

Seeing as it does not have a digital tuner in it, I would think this would be the problem, you will have to get a box for it.

SOURCE: JVC LT-37E488 no picture, clear sound. Turn it on

You will need to do in-depth troubleshooting, please read below:
First, look at the screen in darkened room to see if you can see any slight glow from the screen, if it does, then the problem can be the T-CON (not getting the 12vdc) or the main logic board not feeding the signals to the T-CON board.
if not, next place to check will be the power supply module, make sure it has 24vdc which is required by the backlight inverter to work, the reason for not having 24vdc can be from bad DC filter caps (leaking/bulging top, high ESR) or short circuits in the inverter board which will cause the 24vdc supply to go into shutdown mode, so you may have to disconnect the power cable that feed the inverter board to see if the 24vdc will work without the inverter board hookup, you will need to apply about 3~4 amp of load to the 24vdc to make sure it can handle that. There are fuses on the backlight inverter boards also. So there is some troubleshooting you will have to do to find out the causes of the problem you are having.

Mintek DTV-260

The Mintek DTV-260 only has a NTSC (analog) tuner. You will need to connect your RCA antenna to a digital to analog converter box to watch TV over the air. Then connect the output of the converter box to your TV.

The common converter boxes are limited to SD output. You might be able to find an HD converter box online. (With the standard converter box, the available outputs are coaxial and composite video.) The DTV-260 has a composite video port; alternatively set the TV to channel 3 or 4 and use the coaxial (RF) input on the TV.

There may be a low-power station that still broadcasts in analog. However these are rare. You will need to switch from CATV to OTA (Air) to check for one of these stations. Analog Cable has different parameters than scanning for over the air signals.

I hope this helps.

I am trying to program the RCA ColorTrak Plus TV to my satellite receiver and I get nothing but snow

You will need to get a "regular" Universal remote and program it for that particular model of TV. You will need to access the on screen setup menu for the TV and then have it scan the channels. Make sure your DTV box is on and connected with the coaxial cable. If the "TV Input" button on your DTV remote works and you can get it onto the Video Channel, You can connect your DTV receiver with the RCA Cables (Red, White and Yellow) and get your picture that way. If you access the on screen menu, you will need to scan for Analog and Digital channels as the receiver transmits in Analog. hope this helps.

How do I connect it to my cable? I have a co-axial line (I think) and there is no visible port to plug into!

The ILO 2600 does NOT have an ATSC tuner for the current digital broadcasting.
Note that a slightly later version *might* have come with such.

Later models equipped with it usually have TWO coaxial inputs on the back whereas the original one only has the now obsolete NTSC coaxial input.

There are several possible explanations of what your friend has told you: he may have had a different model or he may have connected it to a cable which was broadcasting in the older analog format already. Or he simply had a different TV with a built-in tuner that can pick the signal.

So first thing I'd check is the number of antenna inputs you have on the back. When there are two the second is usually labelled "DTV".

Second, is there a Comcast cable box somewhere on your end? And if yes then isn't there other outputs to it other than the coaxial cable?

Finally, it is possible to find a digital-to-analog converter on Internet and eBay in particular, but I wouldn't rush doing that. It's practically half the price of a new 32'' LCD TV and you wouldn't be quite happy with the quality anyway.

How to hook up to hd tv

Use the highest resolution connection your HD TV will allow. This will usually DR570's HDMI connector. Most all digital video devices have one or more. The DR570 has an HDMI OUT. Connect it to any HDMI IN connector on your TV. You will then need to set the TV's Input selection to the Input Number you connected the DR570 to. See your TV Remote or Manual.

The DR570 has three types of output connection options, in order of quality; HDMI, Component(Red/Blu/Grn RCA jacks), S-Video (circular connector), and composite (Red/Wht/Yel, where Yel is video and Red/Wht are left/right stereo audio). Red/Wht RCA Audio jack connections are required to be made on all Output types excepting HDMI.

Note, to get your Digital channels, you will need to toggle the DR570's DTV/TV button. DTV is Digital TV channels. TV is analog channels, the DR570 found on your Cable or Antenna RF input coax, after you have done the Setup/General/Channels/Scan (extended). Scan only finds analog channels. Extended Scan scans for both Analog and Digital channels found active on your Cable/Antenna RF connection.

Note also, the DR570 is not technically and HD receiver. The term High Defintion (HD) is reserved to mean 1080i or p resolution, the highest available. The DR570 is an Extended Definition (ED) 720i or p receiver. It up-converts its ED to fit an a 16:9 HD TV screen. You will hardly notice the difference on your TV, but it is the difference between watching a DVD Movie on a standard DVD player, like this one, as opposed to a full HD player like a Blue Ray.

Cable company switched to digital, now my Ant A port on the vs-50603 does not receive signals. I can somewhat view the analog signals through my PIP only. other tv's in the house came back with signal 5...

When the cable company offers you digital cable, you typically need a cable box to unscramble the digital channels. Therefore you need to connect either a coaxial cable from the cable box's RF output, if it has one, or connect 3 RCA cables from the yellow, white and red jacks on the rear panel of the cable box to the TV. Analog channels only (if available) will go straight thru over the coaxial RF hookup. They are not scrambled. Select the proper input source on the TV for the cable box.

Jvc no sound when i have tv on

If your using a cable box or dss or fios, use whatever "input" your system has. preferably optical, or digital coaxial. all cable boxes dss and fios receivers have both optical and digital coaxial outputs as well as standard rca.

If your not using a cable box and are direct from the TV to the stereo, then it depends what the TV has. Most TV's have at least a "monitor out" that's analog rca. If you've got an LCD, Plasma, or digital TV, chances are you have an optical out. All that you really need to make sure of is whatever input you use on the JVC, when you want to listen to TV, it's got to be set on that input from the front. ie DVD/DTV/Vid 1/ Vid2/etc showing on the JVC display. That's the input on the back you must use to hear it. If you have any more questions, just post a comment and I can help some more. Hope this helps
