Korg pa800 mic input makes funny noise

Hi
I've been using the built in voice processor on my PA 800, until a few weeks ago it was great. recently, i've been hearing a kind of scratching, hissing sound with my voice. I have the mic routed to outputs 3 & 4. sometimes when i first turn the keyboard on, the mic sounds ok dry, but as soon as i activate effects or the harmonizer, i get that scratchy effect. any thoughts?
thanks.

First turn the unit off then rotate the input level volume control. If it feels loose pull up lightly on it as you do this. Also rotate all your controls that you don't normally use a lot. Chances are the pots are dirty. If that doesn't help you might want to check all the connectors inside the unit if you feel confident enough to go poking around. Other wise I suggest that you find a shop that will fix the problem. If you do go poking around make sure the units unplugged and that you have grounded yourself against static discharges.

Have you tried touching the screen with a pen, or stylus. Or even your finger nail? My KORG does not work well with fingertips, needs something harder.

Hello i have a korg pa 800 just a while ago something happened it was fine i was using it and all of a sudden it just got really pitchy and the sounds seem to mix and its sounding really off key even...

If this is not a low power supply problem, you might try circuit cooler to isolate the bad part.

Beyond the power supply I would recommend taking this to a shop for repair ONCE you have tried a factory reset.

Many of these pedal have more than switches. Some use resistors as part of a matrix. The chances of success are only 50-50 unless you rewire the FC01 to be exactly the same as the EC5.
