Question about Vizio P2 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television
Have owned our Vizio P42 for about 18 mo.'s, recently when it is turned on after being off for some time there is a dark pulsing haze over images. It lasts for over 30 min. or so. Once it clears all is okay. I fear it may be dying. Of course it's out of warranty. Has anyone had this problem and can offer any suggestions?
This is an ongoing issue with the Vizio 42" series. The SMPS power supply has been a problem in all the Vizio models since day 1. We repair these sets and I do not recommend them at all, they are very unreliable. The SMPS power unit is board replacement only at this time and very expensive.
