Touch pad curser has mind of it's own

The cursor on my Acer Aspire 3000 touch pad "clicks" on links randomly....just by rolling over it. It's doing this on all programs---games, email, photos, etc.

What is the internal touch pad?

internal touch pad is the touch pad where you put your finger to roll over your cursor instead of using an external mouse. External touch pad is also called external mouse.

Cursor continually jumps all over when trying to type

Touch pad mouse.
This unit has a "seamless touchpad with four-way integrated scroll button".
Yours is probably faulty, causing the cursor to be random.
Try disabling it and connecting a USB mouse.

Acer aspire touchpad over sensitive

Hi,
Your laptop should have software pre-installed for your touchpad. This should probably be in the Control Panel. Once you find the software there should be options to change the sensitivity. Hope I helped.

How can I stop my curser from jumping around whilst typing ?

Hello
Most probably because your 'Touch Pad Mouse' is touched by your palm (hand or something) while you are typing. Avoid contact with the mouse touch pad while typing.
Option 2:
If you have a centre moveable mouse on your laptop, start using it and disable the 'Touch pad mouse'
Best of luck!
