Question about AT&T 2256 Cordless Phone
I recently purchased (last 6 months) the ATT 5.8 digital phone
withanswering machine. Yesterday, one of the phones stopped
workingand on the screen says, "connecting."
I took the battery out unplugged the phone and after overnight, I hooked it back up and still not working.
Today, a 2nd phone is not working and has the same message, "connecting," How do I fix this? Thanks, jeannie
Have the same problem. I had phones for year or so. One day two headsets stopped working with "connecting..." message. The one that stayed on the main base - worked, untill i decided it must be something with batteries and swap battery from the good headset to one of those that do not work. As a result I got all of them "connecting..." and none of them does connect really. When I placed the headsets back to the chargers they say "charging", then sometimes "connecting", then sometimes nothing, then when I took them out from the charger - "place to charger". I agree with one of the previuos complain - i do not think it is about the battery. It looks to me that the main base lost (erased) info about the connection to the headsets and does not attempt to do so.
