Hi,
In this situation don't turn your product on ever untill unless you must sure that the wetness been remove into its inner. For this you have to take some percautive measurs,Which are
1- Get out the bettery from battery compartment.
2- In day light put a cotton cloth on you product and keep it in sunlight for couple of hours (cotten colth is for safty purpose,Because dont put the product in direct sunlight)
3-  After the completion of the sun light or also you can use bulb light for eveporation, If you have blower then dar it from blower.
4- Then after wait for minimum one day. Then turon it on and it will start working fine again.

Hope you will understand all the procedure.
THanks,and dont forget ot rate.

MY SONY CAMERA GOT WET ITS NOT CAPTURING PICTURES OR NOT RECORDING VIDEOS. EVERY THING IS WORKING BUT THE SCREEN IS NOT DISPLAYING WHAT DO I DO??????

sir,
if your camera or any electronics appliances happened to enter water or moisture, you must remove the power source(battery)at the immediate, hence the water is a conductor of electric power it will spoil the entire circuits of it. in this case there is very rare possibility to cure. any how please open your camera and take out the LCD display, there may be corrosion on the clipping connectors, try to clean all the connectors, wash the total circuit board with cleaning liquid, re connect all then power on.

Cybershot got wet

I think you have to look for a new camera. Sometimes you can save an electronic apparatus, after it became wet, by drying it for several days in a bag off rice. (or some other stuff like cilia gel). But when you have switched the thing on and it does not work as expected, when the water did not damage it, then certainly a current on the wrong place did. Sony does not handle water in camera as a warranty issue.

I have sony cybershot T77 ... i have couple of dried water spots on the lens (from inside). What needs to be done? All other functions are working fine.

If it's really inside the lens only Sony can clean that up. An ordinary cam repairman cant open up the lens. Only Sony has the tools for it.

What do i do when my camera got wet and it wont turn on?

It all depends on if it was totally submerged or if it was slightly exposed. If it was totally submerged, there is not much to do at this point. It will need to be replaced. The entire unit will not work as designed, due to the severe water damage. Now; if it was slightly exposed to a minimal amount of liquid, simply, separate the internal component and batteries away from the cover housing and let them dry out for 5 full days. Once the dry out period has been completed, reassemble the unit and load a fresh set of batteries. It should work now.

NOTE_ The dry out method will not work if you have already tried to operate this unit shortly after the water damage occurred. Energizing a wet system board will cause a short, thus, damaging the entire unit.

My sony cybershot is fell on water and its not

listen to your service centre advise!

ITS DEAD and has no understanding of REINCARNATION or raising itself from the dead.
Unrepairable means just that, it cannot be repaired because the water would have shorted out most of the motherboard. The cost of any repairs if there were replacement parts ( which there are not) would exceed its value

You have to change the bettery but also check that the board from which bettery pass the supply it could also be short due to water. In this case it is not necessary that battery could be damaged.

Sony cybershot dsc p200 water damage

salt is electrically conductive when in fluid (water) so when it happened i hope you pulled out the battery and protected the delicate lenses. a digital cam, is very delicate but their are companys that repair water damaged goods like mobile phones etc! just look them up in the yellow pages etc... avoid trying to switch it on until it gets repaired, but the mem card should still be fine depending on how long it was wet for! good luck!
